Was mahtab killed? Did she commit suicide? So many answers. Apparently she is not the only one. There are others too.

Ok first off..Khusshal this is the first time I have watched something of him and he really set the tone for the show in the first 10 minutes! I still dont find him very good looking but there is no doing the fact that he has great screen presence and is better than most newcomers right now based on the opening act.

Sanam Saeed being the storyteller coincides with her name ..Shehrezaade and there is something so mysterious about her. I mean this whole show feels like a world inside one of those strange inception dream sequences.

Fawad’s character also has his demons and secrets because something happened to his wife and he looks guilt ridden over it.

Fawad M NAPA wala was actually the best performer of this episode because that scene of him confronting his father was actually the most impactful one

Currently finding the kids and the father the most annoying characters..because kids are acting wayy too mature for their age (perhaps in line with the over exposure of social media ageing them faster) and the father - I don’t know if it’s the actor ..but I’m unable to understand a lot of his dialogues.

And in a way I felt the first episode was also extremely indulgent..and too much was happening and too much symbolism packed in everywhere..abstract and yet a very maximalist approach..not a criticism but it did feel extremely overwhelming..

but! The references, the conception of scenes, the cinematography and just how novel and strangely unique the concept is ..I mean kudos to the makers for bringing something like this to fore! This is a totally unchartered territory and noway it’s going to be an easy watch..in a good way..there will be loads to discuss, unravel, discover..I’m very intrigued and fully invested. Let the dissection begin!! smiley42 Also it’s great that top tier A listers chose to front line this kind of a show…smiley32

I have no words how amazing episode 1 wassmiley32smiley20Everything in the series was perfect. Sanam and Fawad were so good in their expression. I liked Fawad more. Every character in the episode 1 performed absolutely amazing. The story is confusing and will be revealed in the next episode. Now I understand why Fawad Khan was not interested in signing serials and likes to focus on meaningful projects. What a comebacksmiley32 Sanam is the narrator and she has very nice dialogues. Somewhere I feel it talks about illusion and philosophy. I have not watch many movies or series. But so glad I watched this. Location of mountains were absolutely breathtaking and interior designing of this episode was beautiful. It shows the director took their time to choose the perfect cast but great setting that matches the storyline.

Please share how you liked the episode 1?smiley10

Looks amazing just like most Pakistani shows.

Barzakh is the place where spirits resides after death before going to the world hereafter.

Its a story of a 72 year old man who gathered his family in the Northern areas of Pakistan to marry a young girl who is already dead.

I was anxiously waiting for it.

Will watch tonight.

Thank God its a worthwhile show, as the subject could have gone terribly wrong.

Glad you liked the first episode, thanks for the review.
