husband wives are a total red flags for investors..no one casts real life pairings at least not anymore..only exception is ran-alia recently.. personally am not fan of real life couples paired in movies..

Your assumption (I suppose you have) is wrong: Of course, I first only saw the cameo-part of the movie on the Net but there had been something in Salman's play that made me relate to the simple man he played...and when I got the opportunity to watch the whole movie, I did it (giving a damn to all the flack Salman and the movie got).

I'm some of those people who like it if actors try to explore...Salman as a person has many facettes, one of them being a very kind-hearted person (maybe wishing back the innocence he once had), so I somehow admired Kabir's and Salman's endeavour to try something else.

I've worked with mentally-challenged people (so I know a lot about them) and I also like the thought about faith and how Laxmann got support...SRK's scene with Salman positioned as the turning point in Laxman's life was a plus, but that would have been the same turning point with another actor, too.
