Writing this for Jhanak, describing Jhanak's pain on the night of Anirudh's wedding...

I hope you guys like it and feel her pain through my words...

Saji hai raat aaj, khushi me tumhari,

I stand quietly in this gathering of yours,

Tonight, the night is adorned with your happiness,

Pehana hai aaj tumane laal, kisi aur ke pyaar mein,

Main bhi saji hoon safed, mere pyaar ke intkal mein,

You are dressed up in red in love of someone else,

And I too am adorned in white in death of my love,

Par kaise karu is laal rang ko mere dil se alvida,

Shayad kisi aur par sajata (sindoor) dekh kar hi hoga ye vida...

But how do I bid farewell to this red color from my heart,

Perhaps it will only depart after I see it decorate someone else

Dil ko Dard ki lat lagi hai, ab har khushi hairat si lagne lagi hai,

Tumhe na ho isaka nasha, ab issi koshish me hai ye laga

My heart is so addicted to pain that every happiness seems like a surprise
