I am still sold on my prediction, where Arshi learns abt what happened to Urvasi, realizes Ani loves Jhanak and something abt the revelation makes sympathize with J and cancel the wedding.Maybe something abt history repeating itself.
Many times they have shown Arshi not as bad as Shristi, that also is a reason. And they need to keep Ani J guilty wrt Arshi, so she cancelling the wedding for mahaan reasons will work.
They have been showing Arshi watching Ani a lot recently esp when he looks at Jhanak.
The Urvasi story coming up suddenly is also suspect wrt timing. I wont be surprised if they somehow make J and Arshi sisters as well.
Maybe Shristi does not know Arshi is not her child?

I get that he was trying to elicit a reaction from her but there are other healthy ways to do it. For example talk to her or create a situation like fake accident or sumn that would surely make her talk.
