10:12 pmUPDATE - Good news! The rain has subsided, and the ground staff are making their way out to the middle. There is a lot of water on the covers, which needs to be taken care of before the covers can be removed.

Looks like the rain has eased off and the umpire is out in the middle to have a check. The outfield looks damp at the moment, can see a few puddles of water on the outfield but the groundstaff are getting ready to peel off the covers. If rain doesn't return we should have resumption soon. Things look much better at present.
