I don't think GM or any drama can be called a hit or flop in such a short time, many dramas fare better in the long run while many even drops out. I personally was expecting a proper crime thriller but the plot didn't appeal to me so I dropped it after two episodes but I am sure there are people who are enjoying the show even if it is not the majority.
Also, every actor has hits and non hits under them and not every project will turn out to be a blockbuster, it doesn't undermine the actor/actress credibility and no one should take it that way.
What I feel drama makers should learn is not to overhype a show as a mega drama or call it unmatched chemistry before the show is released. Let the audience be the verdict of that, that way you also don't end up ridiculing yourself when the show doesn't work. There is a difference between promoting a show and overhyping it. Even kmkt is recently doing the same thing. You should have enough faith in the quality of your work, that it will do the talking instead of overhyping it.

Raqeeb se was also a low trp low YT viewership show..so as Jackson Heights..so as JBG ..but I never gave up on good shows because they don’t have popular vote. Ab kya kahey..hum zamaaney bhar main yunhi badnaam hue hai I was a stronggggg PKS lover hate the whole of second half and stupid Yashma track ..

Gentlemen isn't a flop people. It's getting thrice as much views as other shows airing on green entertainment. Different people have different tastes, it's fine to not like it but that doesn't mean everyone else is also disliking it.

These trends are so easy to generate. Even I have participate in one of the trends. You just need certain amount of people ( I think 20 will enough), and then you just need to change location where you want trend and then just continuously post something with the hastag which you want to trend. Its a hassle though. I do like certain actors but I am not going to do overwork for them. You need for them to be crazy emough to do it and honestly I am not. I won't do it for any pak actor or actrss. Even for Hiba and Radd which I am loving right now.
I think TRPS are more important for channel than views. Because they give you more sponsers. Also, the money generated by views on YouTube depend on the location where you are watching for example people who watch the videos from devloped country will generate more money than if the same video is seen from devloping country. It all depends on a country purchasing power. Also, I don't think the money generated by Youtube only will be sufficient.
JEJ definitely is a cult. Just wait a year later, and see even though Shiddhat generated more views when it was on air in the long run I can clearly see JEJ overshadowing it. Usually shows that are critically acclaimed takes time to garner views but they will continuously gain itJust like Parizaad. I remember initial episodes rarely used to get 1M views a day. Now look at its views.
aah so trps are important. That explains it. Thanks Mala for the first time I have proper clarity on why trps matter and what YT does for the show. 
Yeah I agree..generally good quality shows with low thrills but great rewatch value and depth gain popularity and hype through WOM. 
I’m happy for Radd too..Radd is one of those that organically gained appreciation and is so well discussed on Twitter.

I didn't see those discussions as I didn't go back too many pages in this thread whoever is doing it is wasting their time. Actors apny paisey le ker araam ker rahey hotey hai, or fans apny neendein kharaab ker rahey hotey views or trp ke discussions kerky.
Getting Blockbuster views is not a sign of quality or good content.
PS: personal attack comment is not directed towards you. It's generally for these forums. People can get too sensitive sometimes. Gentlemen is not a blockbuster. It is doing good as compared to other green shows. IMO, It is interesting so far. It's absolutely fine if you don't find it interesting. Not everyone likes everything

The Gentlemen on Netflix? Yes it is an amazing show.. Gentleman the Pakistani one not even close despite having global acting superstars...

You are welcome. Yeah. I have seen many times that ultimately good quality show does end up winning YouTube battle. I am also happy about Radd. Like I said in my previous post I want good quality show to do good just so that writers get motivated to write good content and also actors for playing good character and producers too so that they would invest money on good show. I am really appreciating ARY nowadays and I have finally swiched my love from HUM to Ary nowadys😅
Radd has continuously been top rated show and it also doesn't have male lead with very high following. Sherry hasn't been that active. So it definitely would have taken a while. Hiba though regularly brings trp. She might not have mass following but tv audience love her.
