Anyway, to each their own.

I will stop playing devil's advocate for now though I don't have any intention of joining the Virat bandwagon any time soon.

Looks like Sam has inadvertently poked the hornets nest. smiley37

Bold: yup... Its similar to what flutterby had mentioned before... same things done by Abhiraj and Rajeev would've been deemed worse. Say, initially i didn't agree with Sam saying Nimmi is more sensible than Ammu... but then... what is the last sensible thing that Ammu did? I dont remember - at least any major thing. So... just because she is the FL and someone I like, I give her that leeway... and am still waiting for her to act sensibly... and even in my updates am tempted to use smiley20orsmiley27when I think she does. And just like I want Rajeev out of Nimmi's life, with the way they have shown him, unfortunately, I want Virat out of Ammu's life - or more correctly, I hate it that Ammu hasn't gone yet... and may not ever. They may love eo to the moon and back... but after the mela eps, the jodi doesn't exist for me.

Not intending to restart the debate. smiley36like you said 'to each their own'. I know my view on Virat is pretty extreme after the mela eps - those were disgusting for me... (and so very disgusting that I tweeted about it and my tweet triggered the actor too) ... and may take forever to join the bandwagon again... but yeah... wont blame Virat... I'll blame the writers for messing him up.

Mr Frodo had his Sam, we have ours 😃

Sam is our moderator 😊

The idea behind pitting both the characters against each other was to highlight how at a sub conscious level we always root for the "hero" irrespective of his actions. When we like someone (or in this case, made to like by the writers), we tend to overlook their shortcomings and always give them a chance to course correct themselves. We keep hoping that some day the person will change. But sadly, that never happens and the cycle of abuse and hope of redemption continues.

On a lighter note, Virat rich and handsome na hota to crime patrol ka episode ban chuka hota uske kaand ke baad 😄

Third paragraph... yup.. and thats where the writers failed. Am sure there are more like me who have no sympathy for him after what they did with him / made him do... which was dumb and unnecessary.

But you found a way out of the word I use mistakenly acha hai 😅

Mela ne toh sab kuch karab kiya na. Amvira Wale Can dance but there is no Amvira. They are still Ammu and Virat and the latter can go to hell. Yep the writer for giving him a Mother like BA and made him brainless.

Totally. I guess the writers want to create a layered character for Virat but they are unable to make it happen. My guess is they want to portray him as one with tough exterior but a soft heart at the core. But that could have been done in a million ways and could have avoided the mela kaand. The show went tumbling downhill after the mela episodes.

Now, everytime I see Virat close to Amu, or touching her or holding her hand, I just flinch. It makes me all the more angry when Amu is all casual and sarcastic around him. 🙄

I may forgive Virat but I can never forget. But then, that's just my opinion.
