Rajiv told Nimmi clearly that she did not turn out to be as he had expected (did not give any money) so he doesn’t care anymore.

Un random scenes mein 2 Babita ke repeat dialogues, 2 Amrutha ke, Ek chemistry class ka scene aur ban Gaya bhai itna acchaaa serial….

No idea why it was shown. But looking at the other 'hallucination' shown (Ep 156) there is a common theme - she complains more and he wants to know what majboori she had that she didnt make it (that she lied to the police in that particular ep). I guess when she behaves in an unexpected way, he cant take it. Real or imaginary he wants to have a talk. That majboori thing was a common theme in both. [smiley7that even in the hallucination he was manhandling her. smiley7]

I came across a few tweets on X claiming that a 4 Pheras wedding is legally recognized. It was mentioned that even Ranbir and Alia had such a ceremony, and that Punjabi marriages, known as Anand Karaj, consist of four pheras. Is this true? I am not very familiar with Hindu rituals, as I am not Indian. smiley5

Saw the tweet too. First time I heard of a 4 phera thing. 7 is the norm. Even in the note that lav2725 shared, 7 is the legally accepted one. But yeah... shows can twist things their own way as per convenience.

PS: Googled the term you mentioned - the 4 pheras are around the Sikh Holy Book 'Guru Granth Sahib'. That's different in a sense, though Sikhism comes under the Hindu Pantheon. Havan / Fire is not the medium used.

Any case, whatever was shown in the mela ep, cant be taken as a ritual in any sesne. Fire is supposed to be in the middle - not around... the pheras are supposed to be around the fire... not on a weighing scale. To me it is beyond ridiculous that they term it as 'wedding' in the show... (and that Ammu downloaded the bahu files).

Hmm... thinking about it now, think the last 3 vows are taken by the bride - which Ammu hasn't. idk... I keep hoping I'll soon see the scene where Ammu just leaves.

Thanks for the clarification..smiley27

Amu comes from a conservative family, yet she is living with a man without being properly married, which is hard to digest. on top of that she is very much comfortable around him...When it comes to ml comfort, itv bahus are more modern than Hollywood female leads.

Given how they showed the characters, it should actually be a big leap for Bhavani (and Ammu) to consider marrying a non-Maharashtrian, and even more specifically, outside their larger community. Yet.. we are here. smiley6

The hallucinations could be a manifestation of his strong desire to have a genuine conversation with Amruta, which is impossible in reality considering their situation. Even in the earlier episode that you mentioned, they were forcefully separated and could not contact each other. Just my guess!

Hindus are segregated across different communities throughout the country. Though all follow the religion Hinduism, there is no one code of conduct or rituals that applies to all the communities. Few rituals could be same or be similar, but they aren't exactly equal. So, even if they all fall under the bracket of Hindu wedding, the processes could differ across communities. So, even though Hindu, a Punjabi wedding rituals will be different from an Odia wedding rituals. Similarly, Tamil wedding has different customs than a Bengali wedding. But they all are legally and socially accepted even though customs and processes differ.
