Thanks for the thread and tagging me Parm. smiley31

Csk is the crowd's favorite, and SRH has shown some class since the beginning of this season!!

Best wishes to both the teams.

Chennai.

CSK had a good start to the season under new skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad but they have been toppled by the Lucknow Super Giants twice in the last two games. CSK will be up against third-ranked Sunrisers Hyderabad, who have twice broken the record of highest IPL total this season but are coming into the game following a failure of their ultra-batting approach

A high-flying SRH, on the other hand, were brought to the ground by RCB when they suffered only their third defeat of the season at home by 35 runs on Thursday. However, it is unlikely to deter the SRH batters who would fancy their chances against an inconsistent CSK.

MSD's last dance

REPLUG: When Dhoni retires, an industry around him, too, would collapse. The fans would have to discover a new idol, the city would have to find new ways to define their summers, the DJ has to wrack his head over fresh punchlines (those of Rajini seamlessly fitted with Dhoni) to keep the audience engaged, the jersey-sellers would have to find a fresh name and number. Middle-aged men would lose their last slice of youth, the young would grow older, and the banners would keep fluttering under the canopy roofs: “MS, Don’t Leave Us.”

Hyderabad player to watch out for

There is unlikely to be any shuffling in the visiting batting order, but Aiden Markram might need to step up, having been dismissed in singles figures in the last two contests. In bowling, senior seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar is the only one who could be at the receiving end, having managed to claim just a wicket in the last three fixtures.

Good evening and welcome to our coverage of Match 46 of the IPL between CSK and SRH. This promises to be a high octane contest for a multitude of reasons. SRH have been one of the high-flying teams this season and they've plundered opposition bowling attacks for fun. When SRH bat, it feels like they'll get 220 at minimum. The last time these two teams met, it was at Hyderabad and SRH overcame CSK with ease. That game began what was a 4-match winning streak for SRH and it was only broken by their loss to RCB in their previous game. Despite that, SRH are sitting pretty at 3rd place on the points table. As for CSK, they suffered a rare loss at home in their previous encounter. LSG ended up bettering them twice in as many games and getting back to winning ways, that too on home soil, will be at the top of CSK's priorities. With 4 wins and 4 losses, they're 6th on the table but a win today will give them a nice leg-up as we head into the business end of the tournament. Toss and playing XI updates coming shortly.

Good evening, everyone. How you doin'? It's time for the MRC Nagar Derby in Chennai. India Cements and Sun TV networks, the parent companies of Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad respectively, are headquartered in the same upscale Chennai locality right opposite each other. About six kilometres away from MRC Nagar, at Chepauk, CSK and SRH will clash this evening.

SRH had breezed past CSK in Hyderabad earlier this season, but they have never beaten CSK in Chennai in four attempts. Can they remedy this stat and take down CSK at Chepauk and climb up to second, behind the table-toppers Rajasthan Royals? Or can CSK regroup after Stoinis had stunned them and breached their fortress? I'm Deivarayan Muthu and I'll be joined by Abhimanyu Bose to bring you all the action. Sit back, relax, and drink it in.
