Today’s episode is also 17 mins. Both the 7:30pm and 8:30pm episodes are 17 mins. What stupidity is this ? So are we going to get only 17 mins episodes till IPL is on air ? This is ridiculous

I don't even understand why SP is even giving a slot for Imlie or PS to run. Isse acha they can run the whole Ghum serial from 7:30 - 9 PM na. It is beyond ridiculous that the episode gets over even before we feel like we are watching something. And then on top of it we have 2 ad breaks coming in. Okay whatever.

Nothing much happened in the episode. It got over before I could even feel like I am watching something.

Thank God Imlie did not slap or talk rudely to Surya after he held her hand. This was by far the most cordial Imlie has been since the truth was out. She told him that she misunderstood him that day but his deeds did do her a great deal of harm and she does not know when she will change her opinion of him. Fair enough. I can understand this statement.

Anyway Mami calls Imlie and tells her that they don't have enough ration in the house and the food is sufficient only for one person. Surya hears this. So when Mami and Imlie get him dinner he says that he does not want to eat as he wants to eat Rasam Rice.

Surya then cooks Rasam sufficient for the 4 of them. It was a nice scene with Imlie helping Surya. I feel as if the writers are just rehashing the same scenes they did with Agastya and Imlie now for Surya - Imlie. It does not make sense ki Mami invites Surya for dinner and she does not have enough ration. Mami invited in the morning/afternoon of the day and till night she could not arrange anything ? Kya bakwaas hain yeh. It is sheer laziness of the writers that they are not able to write anything new and are just rehashing the old scenes. We had Agastya cooking in the jhopdi so here we have Surya cooking Rasam with Imlie.

Anjali the psycho calls up Malti and Malti tells her that Surya has gone to Imlie's house for dinner. So she calls up on Imlie's phone number and says to Surya to leave from there. She is truly becoming psycho. She comes to Imlie's house and sees Surya laughing with Imlie. So she threatens Surya that if he does not come out then she will do some harm to herself.

Everyone sits down to eat and Anjali does her stunt. It was plain waste of 2 mins to see her trying to get run over a car without a driver. Surya runs to pull her out and tells her to stop this stupidity. She is psycho blabbering as to what is in Imlie that she does not have blah blah. Surya anyway sends her home and Imlie watches this. That's it - Episode got over.

The way the IPL is going with run fest I am 100% guarantee that the people are going to watch the Hindi shows very less. It is not about number 2 trp show is being watched and others are not watched. So why does SP not give a fair time for everyone. The 17 mins episode for both 8:30PM and 7:30PM shows just to rig more time for the 8PM show is utter ridiculous. And every day we are having 30 mins episode for the 8PM show which is not uploaded on the Hulu until the episode airs on TV. Whatever. If the trps suffer a bigger fall this coming week then it is plainly because the episodes are getting over even before the audience feels like they have watched something worthwhile.

The love story is going on with snail pace so can we at least be given decent amount of time in the episode please. Somehow my instincts tell me that we are going to go super slow and in the end in last 1 - 2 weeks Imlie will suddenly forget Agastya and will fall in love with Surya which would be quicker than cooking 2 minute maggi noodles.

Whenever I see the episode is of 17 minutes, half my mood goes off there itself.

Nothing much happened today but it was nice to see Surya and Imlie so cordial with each other. Surya is an amazing chef, was able to cook rasam with little leftover daal. I have never eaten rasam with daal, always eaten the tomato rasam with water. Do we even get daal wali rasam?

Weird how this family invited guests over but there was not enough food. Till Surya Imlie came and settled, Mami did not realize food was not enough?

The best part about the episode was Surya understanding their problem, Imlie Surya cooking together and Imlie dil khol ke laughing. I was happy Imlie told him that his behavior caused the most damage to her and it will take a very long time to heal. Fair enough.

I hoped Imlie did somewhere acknowledge that by marrying her Surya also sacrificed his love. May be witnessing Surya and Anjali encounter makes her realize this.

I hope Surya is able to end this Anjali problem once and for all. I can't understand why this woman does not understand when it is clear that Surya will not cheat on Imlie.

Love story ka aur kitna wait karna hoga? Why do we need Anjali between Surya Imlie scenes when we already have shorter episodes. Rehashing Agastya-Imlie scenes - writers are lazy as well as mediocre.

Haan, bina kisi ke push kiye Imlie going to help Surya in cooking was such a sweet moment... The domesticity, normalcy and simplicity of that scene won me over... Also, it felt so good to see Imlie laugh aise khul k after soooo longggg.... (Still upset with her for not saying sorry theek se, but happy to see her laugh reach her eyes)... Surya to matlab ekdum hi 'ghum' ho gya tha uss laugh mein...

Sure thing Divya. Mere ghar pe bhi rasam banti hai waise but without daal. I am not a fan of dal usually and I love tomato rasam paani wali.

Sai is a good cook, he knows to make dosa biryani etc. I am sure he has tried and experimented a lot in the kitchen :)

@Ren:- Yes Rasam can be made with Dal, with left over Dal or with just plain water and tamarind. Google for recipes and you should be able to get them.

Seriously the creatives are very lazy and now with the channel thinking that Ghum is the only savior for them in the IPL era they are also like - Okay let's rehash whatever we did earlier and cut an episode. There is zero thought or logic in what is being written and shown.

In last episode they showed Mami inviting Surya with gratitude that he saved Bulbul's rishta. She even did tilak of Surya. You want to tell me that she did not even see what the food is going to be not until she started to serve it. If I am grateful to someone and hence I invited them to dinner I would be there standing in the kitchen from 4PM making sure I cook more food. Whatever.

The PH also knows the show is not going anywhere so they are also going with whatever they can show. Why to even think about new scenarios - We will just cut paste and copy whatever we wrote for Agastya - Imlie. We are going to have this 17 mins episodes till the IPL ends I feel.

Ghum ka episodes are damn bad and I am damn sure with the way the matches are going on no one is going to tune in to watch Ghum also. Mazaa tab aayega when Ghum also falls heavily next week. Then maybe SP will stop this cheating.

Ghum ke episodes are never uploaded before they are aired on the TV. That is how they are able to get the audience to tune in I feel. Whatever.

Today's episode can be watched in 5 mins and that 5 mins is the beginning scene and Surya - Imlie cooking scene - bas.

The kitchen sequence was a real nice scene of domesticity.. I have started compartmentalizing and not relating to the similar Auggy & Imlie scenes, because..

A. Wig thi tab..

B. Aise hi compare karte karte, na DDP kam hoga, na Surlie ko ship kar paaenge properly...

But honestly.. with the rasam scene, it was such gradual shift.. itna thehraav..

Yahan main apni story me rajdhaani ki speed se raw attraction dikhana chahti hun, aur show me Imlie Pighalne ke Pa tak nai pahuch paa rahi bhai.... How do I get inspired watching this...

The writers are just digging a deep deep hole itna slow-mo se, isske bahar kaise nikalenge.. As Sharada said, will they even have enough time to show the "falling in love" phase from Imlie's side.. I am doubting this majorly by each passing episode...

P.S - Everything said & done, hands down, the best show right now in terms of cinematography.. I watch other stuff, and realize what standards we have achieved via this, and hence always end up rewinding the previous episodes of Imlie, just for that.... Holi ka episode toh kya badia shoot kiya tha yaar.. Chandeliers and all in the backdrop, where they both are sitting on the floor, gathering the fallen gulaal.. Chef's kiss I mean...
