Sravanan is the good kid who can’t stand up for himself which is where Kathir scores (he is a hood kid as well as takes stance against things he feel are unfair) who is going to be taken for a ride by his own father.
Why do you think Muthuchudar will be after Kumaravel? What will Arasi do then? But Arasi deserves someone much better than Kumaravel. Probably Muthuchudar-Kumaravel pair is going to happen.

Pandian and Gomathi nalla aapu vaanga poranga! Paavam Saravanan is the collateral damage here. But sometimes, I think he too deserves it for not taking a stand and betraying the woman who actually loved him a lot. Senthil atleast built up that courage with Kathir's support and so did not give up.

Something tells me this Thangamayil and Meena are going to be at loggerheads for a loooonnngg time. Hopefully, that should keep Meena occupied.🤞 KR should get some respite from Meena's hawk eyes and then both will be able to do all that sight adiying each other.*hopefully*

Palanivel always says the right things. But it all sounds comic with all that comical bgm and his funny characterization. No one really takes him seriously. He is just there to humor the audience. And the way Gomathi reacts to his dialogues every time is also in a funny way with comic background score. Nirosha too makes it seem funny.

I think Kathir is no longer into that 'amma amma' mode. It is starting to get evident that he is kind of distancing himself from her. He speaks with her casually, but there seems to be a barrier now. I kind of felt that as a viewer. Not sure though. It was good how he just refused to take the milk and escaped from her alapal.

KR scene - small but impactful. Raji is slowly and steadily starting to care for Kathir. She is definitely falling for him. And I hope he falls harder!

I am also hoping that Raji too will start looking for part time job. There would be nothing more beautiful if she lands a job and both together manage their own expenses and take responsibility for each other. I believe, that would be a huge start for their story, if such a plot is executed.

This Baakiyam is the same actress who played negative character in Thirumathi Selvam, right? I remember my mom watching that show without fail.

Gomathi-Meena-Thangamayil-Pandian can all fight among themselves and leave KR alone.

Kathir was already distancing himself from Gomathi, which was working well. But, then he came asking her for dinner in yesterday's episode which was not at all needed. He should have asked Meena instead. Then Gomathi would have gotten one more adi (intense bgm) after Palani and Senthil gave one each. He should ignore her more, but I feel when KR get together, they will praise Gomathi for bringing them together.

Yes, even I thought it would be nice if Raji got a part-time job. It would be a beautiful story. They could have shown more scenes today since Raji was in tears when she heard about his job. It would have been nice if Kathir saw her so emotional. Whatever happened to Meena kurukuru looking at Pandian and Raji yesterday?

@bold: Yup, the bad MIL. She was named Bhagyam in Thirumathi Selvam as well. I knew that look the moment I saw her and decided she would not be a good character. In S1 they had Shanthi Williams who was a bad MIL in Metti Oli. Old serial characters recycle panrange pole.

@bold- I agree with you 💯 Right from the day I started watching the show and caught up with the previous episodes, the only character who is truly entertaining, says what’s on his mind without fear, says the facts is Palanivel. But unfortunately they have made him a comedian. He is right every single time. The reason Pandian and Gomathi are still grounded only because this guy indirectly puts them both on their place: Sometimes I wish he is taken seriously and they introspect what he says. I hope the writers keep him the same way till the end of the show. I want to continue yo like his character till the show is on-air.

@red - That will be fun to watch I will take Meena’s side them because I cannot take a fraud’s side Meena knows how to give it back and she has Gomathi, Raji and Kathir’s backing and support

Of the couples

Saravanan-Thangamayil- My like is leaning towards Saravanan, probably won’t like Thangamayil at all

Senthil-Meena- Senthil is non-existent in this relationship, he is only there to fight with Meena or sweet talk sometimes so my vote goes to Meena

Kathir-Raji - Love this couple, only because they accept their mistakes, try to make an effort to rectify and move forward, unnecessarily don’t poke their noses in others businesses except each others Raji for being the richest DIL pf the 3, has adjusted so well to Pandian household and Pandian’s miserly and controlling nature (which is soon going to be destroyed by Thangamayil)

Pandian-Gomathi- Hate them both from the bottom of my heart

@blue- I too felt the same. Though he asked her to serve him food in yesterday’s episode but today it was evident he was trying to avoid her because she will create another drama. He knows that his mother is a drama queen also the only one responsible for his current state. He did not tell her that took a part-tome job, didn’t give her his first salary, was looking intense when Palanivel shoeing Gonathi the mirror as of he agreed with his uncle. He knew that hos Mom didn’t have the guts to stand up against Pandian, yet managed to get him married to Raji and even hide the truth ftom anyone, now acting as of she did nothing but only care for him: I want Kathir to slowly gravitate towards Raji and share hos inner feelings especially about the way his Dad treats him. Raji might be a better person, definitely sensible than Gomathi to talk to.

As for KR scene, wish they showed atleast a short conversation just like KM would have on the initial days of their marriage.

@bold - that would be fun to watch! Kriminalvel and Chudar will be a match made in hell. And Kriminalvel's father, (Is that Shakti or Muthu?) will be the apt guy to put Mayil's family in place.

But I think Arasi and Kriminalvel will be the endgame. He will probably trap her into believing that their marriage can bring both families together. But will marry her just to spite Kathir.

Raji looked so beautiful with loose hair, Navy blue Kurti/legging not in her usual ponytail and Kathi didn’t say a word Just couple of seconds of eyelock,

So much happened as ponnu paarkim padalam is happening. Pandian took everyone except Palanivel mama and forced him to take care of the store. Kuzhali and her husband joined too. Kuzhali is that “ Nathanar” who wants to keep a tight hold on her brothers wives. Ellarayum adhataradhu. She asked Raji point plank how Kathir-her ended up together and still cannot wrap her head around what happrnex. As usual Meena stepped into save🙄🙄 Raji krpt wuiet, Kathir looked at his mother angrilu. Ennaiki thaan Kathir kovathile irunthu veliya vara porano😔

Thangamayil and her family are big time dubakurs. Appavum, Ammavum saralsma poi pesaranga. Also Mayil told ger parents that she doesn’t Saravanan as he os not good looking, looks like cinema villain’s henchman. But Baakiyam lectured her saying they cannot het a better groom for her because of who they are, with no money, no education for Mayil, not a good reputation with the neighbors and Manikam’s multiple business failings. Mayil’s parents are forcong her to get married to Saravanan to trap the Pandian family and think they cannot get a better “Varan” than Saravanan. Mom is already talking about Pandian owning a home, store, few land properties, Saravana working and earning a decent salary. This is to indicate in future she will instigate her DAughter who will be the eldest DiL at Pandian house to get everything in Sarvanan’s name,

Later when pon paakum padalam was going on, Mayil didn’t come out yet to but everyone were eagerly waiting for her, her parents kept lying more, Mayil who was inside listened to it all and felt disgusted that parents are lying so much. Her sister, Muthuchudar came out to see who Saravanan was whole Gomathi was introducing everyone. Muthuchudar finds Sarsvana fecent looking and tells Mayil that afterall he is not that bad looking.

When Gomathi was introducing the family members, she gave too much information on why Saravana was not getting married because Senthil and Kathir had love marriage. She too lied that Kathir-Raji had a love marriage You shpild see the discomfort on Kathir-Raji’s face Gomathi even talked about not having any relationship with Meena’s parents and her own brother whose daughter is Raji. Both Raji and Meena tried to stop her from giving information but Pandian told Raji and Meena not to discourage Gonathi from telling the truth.

My gut feeling is that Mayil’s parents are noting everything and in future they are going to us everything Pandian-Gomathi told against them. Mayil’s mom, Baakiyam even thinks Gomathi is vaya poochi and everything in that house is controlled by Pandian ( she made this comment to Mayil when disagreed for the alliance before Pandian family arrived)

Tomorrow episode us about Saravanan and Mayil going to talk to each other in private. Except Pandian everybody agreed they should talk in private, even Mayil’s parents wanted them to talk to each other. Saravanan goes to Mayil’s room to talk but her sister is also there. We will know tomorrow what happens next.

Watch the episode, you will get a clear picture of who Thangamayil, her parents and her sister (seriyana dubakur family). Also watch for how controlling Pandian, Kathir gave back but as usual Pandian shut him up. He again mistreated Palanivel.

As usual Meena talked a lot. Raji had 2 dialogues, Kuzhali is bossy, Gonathi is a dimwit, Pandian is controlling. Kathir and Palanivel spoke whats on their mind, Saravanan and Senthil were mute spectators.

IMO, Raji is turning out to best DIL of that family, no unnecessary comments, doesn’t poke her nose in everyone’s business, overall gives a very good vibe when she is there, ofcourse the most cutest and beautiful of the 3.

Kathir wanted to know what Soji means in soni bajji. Apparently he has seen in movies when there is pon paakum padalam they mention soji bajji. He knows what bajji means, ofcourse he will only ask Meena everything even if Raji is front of him🙄 Meena did not know what Soji meant, inturn asked Raji if she knew. Raji also didn’t know what it meant

Writers are duffers- Ivalvu naala indha phrase ellarum Tamizh Naatula use panraanga, Soni na ennanu teriyalana vetka kedu Soji is Rava kesari (also called Sooji ka halwa in North) which came from the word Sooji (meaning Rava in Hindi) Sooji became Soni in Tamil Nadu over the years Pesama namba script ezhutha polaam polirukku Thangamayil family dubakur/fraud nu kandu scene la varathukku munadiye kandu pidichitom namba 3 perum

Kuzhali is very superficial, she commented on Thangamayil’s small house, didn’t find it appealing. Then she probed Thangamayil’s parents why they didn’t invite other relatives for pon paarkum padalam but Bhagyam and Manickam managed the situation very well with more lies. Kuzhali was nitpicking everything. Her characyer is not needed in the show at sll🙄

Meena had the most dialogues to say after Gomathi and Bhagyam amongst the ladies.
Arasi and Senthil were very eager to see the bride Meena asked them to be patient
Thangamayil also comes across as superficial as looks are very important to her and doesn’t like Saravanan as he is not good looking. When her sister told her that he is afterall not that bad, Mayil rolled her eyes,

I did not like the way Pandian treated Palanivel, asked him to take care of the store and not go with them to Thangamayil’s house. I really don’t know why Palanivel lives in that house even after how they treat him. Only Raji smilingly told him that she will text what all happened at Thanfamayil’s house.

At Thangamayil’s house- Pandian, Gomathi, Saravanan, Kuzhali, her husband (don’t know his name), Senthil, Kathir and Thangamayil’s father were sitting on the sofa set and extra chairs.

Meena, Arasi, Raji and Thangamayil’s motter, Bhagyam were made to stand Couldn’t the direction atleast made them sit on the floor on a mat. These 4 ladies were standing as if they were punished.

I have also noticed at Pandian household, when Pandian calls for family meeting, Arasi and Saravanan get to sit on the 3-seater along with Pandian who sits on the single seater but the rest (Kathir, Raji, Meena, Senthil, Palanivel, Gomathi) are always standing. Even at the dining table during casual conversations while Gomathi is eating snacks or Arasi/Meena are drinking tea or once Kathir and Palanivel were there too, they all sat on the dining table chairs bit Raji was the only one standing. No one ever asks her to sit

Today’s episode was such a bore

Saravanan is acting as if he is talking to an outside girl for the first time, its as if writers forgot about his past love story. That acting coy, becoming speechless is all too much to handle. Even Thangamayil acted the same way and both were lying to each other through their teeth. On top of lying their conversation was cringeworthy🙄

Pandian and Gonathi’s restless because Saravanan and Mayil took a long time to come out after their private conversation which is in closed doors. Infact they sent Kuzhali to get Saravanan and Mayil back.

Kuzhali’s character 🤮 - nitpicking, poking her nose in everyone’s business. Meena dies the same, but decently here Kuzhali straight on the face.

Meena’s running commentary throughout the whole scene, her 2 cents in every matter, even on the elaborate explanations Mayil’s mom Bhagyam gave when she was bombarded with questions from Kuzhali. Gomathi asking Meena everything as if Raji and Arasi don’t exist at all

The writers have established Pandian as the ML, controls everyone except Kathir and Meena as the FL who kniws everything while others are just dummy pieces.

Finally Saravanan and Thangamayil (with tons of hesitation as her parents indirectly for ed her) agreed to the marriage. Next week probably they will show New jodi’s engagement followed by marriage. We will have to wait and watch how Shaktivel (Gomathi’s middle brother) breaks this alliance too.

Also Akash who is acting as Kathir, is going to act in a new Sun TV serial Anamika as one of the ML. Looks like we will have less of Kathir and KR scenes as he has to shuttle between both the shoots. KR story has not even started yet, already ML is not going to be there much. They will probably shoot a lot with his Body Double while showing just his close-ups, I am surprised how he is able to act for 2 different channel shows at the same time, won’t it be a conflict of interest. If KR scenes don’t progress much, they don’t show them enough, I might lose interest in the show as I am not willing to put up with Pandian, Gomathi, plebty of Meena, spineless Senthil and Saravanan and lying queen Thangamayil🙄
