They don’t need to change the characters, sets or even the costumes. Just give a good love story. I am sure Gul has a whole treasure chest of them. She has been in business for years.

Why are they deliberately pulling down a show that can work? This is so annoying. Again a 16 minutes episode!! Even if the viewers ignore the story and wardrobe and still watch the show, the duration ensures that the show never succeeds on the charts?

Gul has high experience in dealing with fandom wars when her shows become too successful for her liking. I strongly feel that Agastya was also killed only because Gul did not want Agastya - Imlie to be very popular. Agar zyada popular ho gaya toh show end nahin kar payegi.


The fact is Imlie is running till IPL end only and is ending the moment Gul ka new show is ready to be launched. Hence we are getting shorter episodes - they just don’t want the show to get decent numbers. Let’s accept that

No this short episode will get counted for next to next week’s trps. The trps are from Saturday of a week to Friday of next week. So we got 2 short episodes for next week’s trps.

nope Gul does not take any chances. That’s why she is deliberately making Imlie la quality bad and giving shorter episodes. She packed up Chaudhary’s and got this reddys in their place. Heck the show had some story when Surya - Imlie were not married and Imlie was living as the servant in the house. What did we get after IPL started ? Nothing. Not even a decent promo. Does this look like the PH wants to save the show or dubao the show ?

Gul is just holding on to the slot nothing much - we should stop having any expectations from the show.

I already knew that couch scene and the next following scene will be comedic in nature. BTS dekh ke hi samaj aa jata hai what gonna be the vibe of particular scene. So didn't had any expectations so no disappointment too. The show will not get dubao because of lack of romantic scenes but shorter duration episodes and regressive reddy family drama. Last 2 episodes dekh ke I was happy ki reddy family has been finally pushed into the background but nopes they are back at it again. Yeh logo ko Kab samaj aayega copying legacy show tracks isn't going to work in Imlie as Imlie Audience is quite progressive and neither the writers of Imlie are capable of replicating the drama of legacy show. For the unversed this name change happened in legacy too.

your first reasoning is right that gul is deliberately lowering the quality of Imlie and as result Imlie will wind up due to low trps and Gul will retain the slot for next show

But saying that Gul got once again annoyed due to Agastya imlie jodi popularity isn't fair. Imlie S3 didn't have any popularity at any point. The show survived this long only due to decent trps . Gul had sent cakes whenever IMLIE S3 achieved any milestone like 1000 episodes, highest trp 2.3 . So it's not right to say she destroyed S3 due to fan wars and growing popularity of leads.

She made a wrong creative call when it came to Agastya death track. It didn't yield her expected result so she is moving to her next project. Simple as that. She isn't as invested as we are fans are with S3.
