I’ve played all my cricket from there, have been in the Ranji circuit for the last 2-3 years and very happy to now get a chance in the IPL. We had a Sher-e-Punjab T20 tournament, and after that tournament I got a call from Rahul Sanghvi (MI scout). He told me that the team are scouting me and looking to pick me. I didn’t have a great SMAT in 2023, but still got picked. Very grateful to MI for this opportunity.

Pitch report: Pitch No. 7 being used. Not used in IPL 2023. Brian Lara says the red-soil surface looks great. It has a generous covering of grass and the team that's bowling first has to get new-ball wickets. We're gonna see a lot of runs. Not sure spinners are gonna come into the game because of the grass. What the team does on winning the toss will be crucial - RR have won batting first. MI have chased, they came short (although they made 246 in 278-run chase). The team batting first will have the advantage.

Sujatha : "Looking Hardik as a villain is totally uncalled for. It is sport , professional sport , a Franchise driven league. Employers need results and emotions need to be set aside. With Hardik and backing him" Think (and hope) his employers are supporting him. It's massive as Tom Moody said. The chat among the public and how things are from a cultural pov is fascinating. Agree that villanising him is uncalled for. R Ashwin's comments on it were interesting too.
