Dude those slinky sarees with bralette blouses are not upholding any “tradition”…they are just a safer alternative to a gown without needing fittings and all (except for the blouse)

It’s not like she wore a khadi or kanjeevaram to empower handloom artists back home and encourage fabrics or embroidery from India

Rekha was always ridiculed for her ott sarees but she was the true og queen of upholding transitional weaves at a freakin dior show, wearing a a stunning kanjeevaram

I cannot believe this hack's PR is now claiming that Alia is responsible for sarees.

Her role in Rocky aur Rani was only notable for the sarees she wore. Nobody noticed her acting minus her lack of attempt at a Bengali accent. Her acting and characterization was so weak that she was literally upstaged by her wardrobe.

My favorite part is that she doesn't even have the figure or height to make those sarees look good. Like others said, she looks like a little girl with the body of a prepubescent boy. Give a real woman like Deepika, Katrina, Aishwarya, or Sushmita these sarees to model and boy, the crowd would go crazy.
