Just because it was romanticized here, it doesn't change the fact that the guy is a stalker and duped the girl's family with an intention to get her

Blackmailing and harassing people should be added as well

anyway I’m all up for red flags but only if it’s addressed in the show. Every other show addresses this, has the girl give the guy a tough time until they reconcile, but somehow the same logic didn’t apply here in this story.
