Just came home from the theater. Despite a random thursday night, the theater was full! And my god was a fun ride!

The movie starts off with a slow first half but has a much more enjoyable and engaging 2nd half. Great storyline, very unique and great dialogues. Wish they had incorporated the songs a bit better. They were all situational but they COULD have made Kareena do choreography for Choli; in the movie she's not dancing at all. It's just in the background.

The strength is definitely the cast and their chemistry with each other. They really play well off one another and heighten each other's performance. It's hard to explain, but nobody is trying to outdo the other; they're just working together.

My favorite of course is Bebo; just based on her sheer screen presence and comic timing. Her character is also very endearing. Tabu is brilliant because she is Tabu. She has the best one liners and steals the scenes in many instances. But KRITI really surprised me! She was not in the background, nor overshadowed. She really held her own; gave an amazing performance. She doesnt quite have the screen presence of Tabu and Bebo, but she's a great actress and looked stunning.

4/5 Rating from me. The row behind me was occupied by an entire group of women in there 40s; and they were laughing and enjoying the ride. Highly recommended!

Thanks for such a detailed review ☺️. It's great to see the Kriti praise coming from an ardent Kareena fan. Kriti has some strong screen presence. Will watch this movie in theatres for sure. Sunday is booked for Godzilla 😀 probably next week

The first quarter has ended on a good note with the last Friday of the quarter bringing good openings for Crew and Godzilla x Kong. The latter is excellent down South which will take the film to very good opening day collections but the surprise is Crew which in the bigger Hindi circuits is actually better than Godzilla x Kong. The numbers were expected from Godzilla but not from Crew.

Crew has opened very well in NCR with collections only second to Fighter this year and there is not much of a gap in NCR with Fighter. In other metros like Mumbai and Kolkata the film is doing better than Godzilla x Kong as far as the multiplex business goes. The fact that the film is competing with a film like Godzilla x Kong as far as business in the Hindi circuit in concerned is itself a victory for the film.

The film has a good cast with popular female faces and the music of the film was a plus but the film itself did not look much with a weak looking plot but going by how heavy the collections are in Gurgaon and South Delhi it means there was a strong interest with the female audience which has probably resulted in this turnout. Kareena Kapoor has had two of the biggest female led openers with Heroine (2012) and Veere Di Wedding (2018) and this will be another. The latter remains the only female led film to hit double digits

The film has been helped by the Good Friday release which is the case with Godzilla x Kong as well so fair value will be lower than where the collections land which means there will still a lot of ground to cover for both films but the idea is to give yourself a chance and both films have done that. Godzilla was sure to do as is a front loaded film while Crew opening day numbesr will be punching much higher than anyone expected.

How is the movie guys? I am so excited to see it only coz of my Queen Bebo
