I began watching this generation because of the hype that Kaira and Abhira created. So.. Armaan in his initial days was a little off. But as this was a new team I gave it a try, and in the past one month the dynamics of Abhira-Armaan relationship kept me engaged. They had a cute bond. Their scenes never looked forced, they were free-flowing.

Pichla hafta Abhira and Armaan were slowly getting there, they got some really cute scenes together.

The new Armaan has expressions on his face but they're not as expressive as old Armaan's. Yes he lacks the tenderness, but I cannot ignore the fact that Abhira is not in her senses. The old Armaan never encountered a talli Abhira, he might have behaved the same.

The real test comes when the Holi drama ends and we get some real Armaan-abhira scenes.

You are right. But how much of the screenplay depends on him portraying a suave lawyer? Barely 2/3 episodes were spent in court starting the inception. The rest 135 episodes the screenplayed required him to play a responsible caring husband conflicted former lover and a grateful Poddar heir. I would rather watch substandard portrayal for those 2/3 episodes and have good rest 135. The age difference did not matter as he dis portray the emotions correctly ( non professional part). Thus for new actor it is imperative he fulfill the major requirements first.

Then you would be stuck to playing triangle triangle ..
and I would even wonder what is it worth for to stay in this relationship… for the FL .. like I have done in lost and ropes and would want the FL to move out and look for another man

I am beginning to think that it might be a good idea not to visit this EDT before watching episodes at least ..earlier it was salty fans of one kind but now it is a certain expectation that everything should remain the same no matter what has happened, even while being cognisant of the change. As an audience, I need not care about all that but if I only want to see more of the same, it is not ever going to happen. It is going to be different and it is going to take time getting used to. If you want to get used that is. If every minute is going to be judged through the lens of what is gone, it is simply going to kill the viewing experience completely and not ever going to make it better. I am not trying to preach but simply sharing that the only way to accept this show and Armaan 2.0 is to stop watching through the lens of the past and start watching it as something completely fresh. Try and see how this person, who is new and yet not new, carves a niche for himself. If you don’t like it, there is always the remote. If you do, you can go with the flow and enjoy. Either way, harping on the past is not the solution! I think I am going to take a break, not from the show but from visiting the EDT at least first thing in the morning. Maybe I’ll visit after a month (if I am still sticking to the show by then and that has nothing to with Armaan 2.0 but because I get bored easily) and see if things have changed at all.
