Sahiba could have been shown as a single mother but that would not be karma for Angad. In other shows the man feels the loss of woman who leaves on her own after harsh words, here he doesn't miss or care about the woman, he cares for the unborn child that wasn't even a month old.

Sahiba would easily hand over the kid to Angad if he demanded his child. She holds nothing over him, if she refused he would take it anyways. But now she cannot, because child is attached to another person. That is his karma.

You have to fight for what you love, he has to fight for the kid with Diljeet. If Sahiba was alone, we all know she would immediately let Angad into Akirs life the day he came knocking. So there is Diljeet to make the journey tough for Angad.

If she is married to diljeet through court marriage what was stopping her to write diljeet name on birth certificate. She could have easily given his name . Idk they will show any marriage. Like how Angad is stuck at Sahiba and her memories they will show Sahiba also stuck at angad. Then only reunion will be accepted by viewers. Here Sahiba won’t be hindrance for Angad. Diljeet will be the roadblock for angad bcoz Akir is more close to diljeet than Sahiba. Even legally taking the custody of the kid he won’t get the love of his kid unless diljeet dies.
