He was just making excuses because he genuinely wanted this to be their time alone ..he knew Dadi sa had shot down Abhira’s idea of a celebration. This was his way of saying I can’t ask the entire family to break ranks but for you, I can do this. He had openly acknowledged how much Abhira had worked on her relations with his family whereas the family had somwhere not reciprocated wholeheartedly. He was making up for all of that with this private celebration, where he could give her the simple joys that she craved for!

Thank god he acknowledged that more than standing against dadisa she was standing by poor people only.. Also when she asked us we dint reply her well.. So it's not her mistake alone..
