I think we can agree to disagree. If they were fired on grounds of non-performance, I would agree with you. That is not the case here. I am not the one for brushing things under the carpet in the name of propriety. If the reports are true, they got what they deserved. Rajan Shahi is no fool, he would have brought his lawyers into the picture before taking any step. Even in the corporate world, we hear of people being asked to vacate the premises immediately etc when there is misconduct involved, When the actors were not acting in good faith and respecting the team they were working with, they deserved to be paid back in the same coin, as harsh as that sounds. Laaton ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante, as they say

A fairly rookie female employee was fired on flimsy grounds simultaneously. This would open up so many wrongful termination cases in a regular corporate setting, no one would want to take up the HR headache. And yes a employee's self-respect should be prioritised by the employer lol. Job karne ka matlab beizzati sehna nahi hota. Goes for actors and crew both.

People get fired all the time. This is honestly in bad faith and vindictive.

but in the movie and tv show business it’s different .. because shooting has to go on so the episodes come up on time and there’s so many people involved. In the movie and tv show business..nobody is alone ..when a scene is shot there’s always tons of people around..and everyone works as a unit..so,I think in this instance, when they were terminated in front of the cast and crew ..it was like their staff meeting..where the announcement was made..also I heard that last week Shehzada had messed up big time and things had escalated out of control. And then this decision had to be made..

Exactly.... Will share personal anecdote.... My father and his colleague were together working ..... But after Covid that colleague started working elsewhere as part-time also so as to make more money but the employer found it .... And he immediately fired him .... Even the house in which they were living was given by office and he asked them to leave it ... Thankfully they are well off before and now as well ...but this happened to 21 year old employee...so yes if employer can ask you to leave immediately then it means you did something to breach the contract .... Also every end is new beginning... Just hoping that these 2 got their lessons and work more professionally in whatever field .... Karan Patel and Shivangi Joshi are examples... The thing is to own your mistakes and work towards it

You yourself think that they were asked to leave in 15 minutes ...no employer can do that until and unless there has been a ground of contract breach .... otherwise they would have been given notice period to complete it

Not true. Notice period is given when the employee resigns not when the employee is terminated. In IT field the employees are supposed to leave the office premises within a certain time after the termination letter is served. And all access to all systems are terminated before the termination is served so as to prevent vindictive damage from the terminated employees. Why will the actors act properly if they are asked to serve notice period. They can cause more damage if they are serving notices. Also it doesnot matter what the reason for termination is. Whether it is mass layoff or dues to behavioural issues such announcements are not made in front of the whole team. The terminated people are usually allowed to leave first and then the rest of the team is informed and that is how it should be. In this case Shahi was trying to set an example in front of the same cast and crew whom Sheh had mistreated. But I think it was a little harsh as the punishment itself was big enough to account for his misbehaviour. This way of termination is utterly insulting. Shahi would have successfully sent his message even with private termination

Lol, this is workplace abuse 101. Misconduct has to be referred to HR, investigated, and due action taken. They could have been suspended while they investigated or given a negative character certificate upon termination.

These ad hominen attacks are precisely ad hominen attacks. People who are "leaking from sets" and are on the employers' payroll while these two are not. Actors who probably don't even have 5 scenes with these actors are also giving their two cents on this issue lol. Public spectacle of ex-employees is not standing up for your crew lol. These producers actively weaken unions

Pratiksha(?) was fired for non-performance according to reports. What is the metric of assessing something subjective like acting? Is it a quarterly assessment? Was it fairly done? Was she given a notice period to look for other jobs so that she doesn't starve to death or become homeless in a city like Mumbai?

If these two were fired for dating or inappropriate workplace behaviour then that would definitely open up wrongful termination/workplace discrimination suits lol. Makeup room mein jaate the amounts to nothing lol. They should have been reported, investigated and fired if needed after a due process.

Actors have dated and even gotten married while working on this show. If it were the FL and ML dating, the production would have milked it to death for promotion.

I say this as someone who stopped watching this show because Armaan is an utterly spineless snoozefest.

Those two behaviour and there fans behaviour kinda match. Those two f up in the influence of there so called infatuation and there fans without knowing that professional ethics in a workplace cannot be compromised saying shit to people. What can a normal human do for that.

Lol ..the italicized part was a figure of speech and not to be taken literally. My point was he had been served several warnings for misconduct as per reports so it was not some overnight action. Secondly, if they had to follow the due process as described by you, what of the show? Should it be left hanging in midair? On metrics of acting, shouldn’t we accept that those who hired her are the best judges of whether she has been able to deliver or not? In showbiz, time is money and nobody has the money to waste on multiple takes. There were BTS videos where she was seen having problems with lines after four months. In my opinion, hiring her was the biggest mistake they made. She is a rank bad performer. Anyway, I have said what I have to. Nothing more to add from my end. Good day!
