I know some of these people are extreme Yumna fans that like to victimize her but frankly I feel like it’s demeaning her. What are they trying to say? That she doesn’t have the same bargaining power as Wahaj? Why wouldn’t she? Also why would she continue to work on campaigns with Wahaj if this was the case. Give the girl more credit than this. She has her self respect and she is valued by the producers. They need her on board for TB2 as well. No way they would disrespect her like this. If she was approached for this initially, she must have her own reasons to decline it. Of course this is disrespectful to Maya as well since she is more than capable of bagging a role on her own.

I dunno whose fans these people are. I can't even imagine why a Yumna fan would do this. Maybe a Wahaj hater masquerading as a Yumna fan. I mean in what world does Wahaj have the power to oust Yumna. Yumna has a longer relationship with Kaddu than Wahaj. She is I would say a bigger star than him even now. Wahaj is just newly famous - uske paas itna taika kahan se aayega. Koi logic hi nahi hai. It would be far more plausible that Yumna didn't want to do the project because the script sucked than this cockamamie story about Wahaj ousting Yumna.

Apparently Yumna was supposed to do it as the producers offered her and Wahaj the script over a year ago as they were supposed to be doing a winter project. After Yumna couldn’t do it the director got Maya in it since 7th sky never worked with Maya before only Haseeb did.

Maybe yumhaj were offered this project before tb2 was planned and since they'd be anyways doing the season 2 they might have thought of casting some other actresses for the sake of freshness..

Also yumnas date dairy wasn't matching with the shooting schedule of this show so she might have opt out, plus she is already doing a krq drama that also might be a reason to turn down this offer..

I read that SMD was offered to Hamza Ali Abbasi first . It was supposed to star him and Maya.

Of course Maya is an a lister but it does make sense if Haseeb casted her since directors or producers cast the leads. Since Maya never worked with 7th Sky if anyone it would be Haseeb who would approach Maya with the script. I’m only bringing this up because like you said Marie from 7th Sky said a winter project with YumHaj was pending and I guess because Gentlemen was changed to be shot last year instead of this year it might’ve played a role if Yumna decided to back out as she wouldn’t have been able to meet dates and yes maybe she didn’t want to do 2 back to back projects with Wahaj or KRQ scripts. I’m guessing KRQ chose Wahaj since he tends to choose lead male character. Also, I think Kubra would’ve been better choice although Maya is an a lister I do think we have stronger actors than her and it would’ve been nice to see a fresh pair with Wahaj too. Not sure how well Mayas projects have done since her tv comeback apart from JBG which although a critical hit it was a commercial flop and PSM was also a ratings flop and Yunhi was another average drama. Perhaps this might be a commercial hit for Maya again. Let’s see how it goes looking forward as it seems interesting with 2 female leads and Haseeb and KRQ don’t tend to drag their dramas unnecessarily and ruin it like Khaie has been.

There’s drama on a daily basis. Who even cares who was offered the role, who rejected, who replaced etc etc etc. This happens all the time in acting gigs. Actually all kinds of jobs. If schedules clash, substitutes are there. And acting is just a job and adjustments like this will be made if needed. Nothing personal about it at all. What matters at the end is just the final product and if the people who worked on it delivered or not.

I think people are just frustrated there’s so little info on SMD that’s actually legit. So every day some nonsense pops up. And yes most of them are just haters under the guise of pretending to be fans. These cheap tactics are nothing new. They stir the pot, create drama and a week later, start something else.

No matter how much negativity is spewed online, the final project can’t be touched by that because ultimately, the work speaks for itself.

I don’t mind that, it builds up anticipation. Also, if the makers of SMD are smart they would learn from Mein and promote the story rather than any chemistry.
