Both teams would be pretty pleased with the final score, but both will feel they could have done better. Mumbai lost their openers cheaply and did not have the right start, but Sciver-Brunt kept the scoreboard ticking along with Harmanpreet. The duo added a 50+ stand for the third wicket and steadied the innings, but perished just when they were about to step on the accelerator. Kerr provided the impetus to the innings and Sajana played a handy cameo towards the end. UP were good with the ball but it was their fielding which could have been better, quite a few catches put down and it might have been a different story had they all been taken.Nonetheless, MI have total that they can work with and UP will feel they can chase it down.

Roby Stephen : "Mumbai has a decent score to defend courtesy the ever dependable Amelia Kerr and Sajana "

Chamari Athapaththu: Really happy with my bowling, have worked hard in the nets in the last couple of months. Good target, we have to play positive cricket. We don’t care about the toss. Good conditions for chasing.

UP-W vs MUM-W: Pitch Report

Arun Jaitley Stadium is a flat deck that doesn’t have much in it for the bowlers. The faster you bowl, the faster you travel. The shorter boundaries will make it more difficult for the bowling side.

Thanks for the tag Parm 🙂🙂

Saika Ishaque to Kiran Navgire, out Bowled!! Knocked over! The dangerous Kiran Navgire is sent packing early. She went back over the wicket to Kiran Navgire, floated up a very full delivery on off-stump, was yorker and it snuck right under the bat as Kiran Navgire looked to work it into the leg-side, it pegged off-stump and Mumbai get the first breakthrough. Kiran Navgire b Saika Ishaque 7(8) [6s-1]

Matthews to Chamari Athapaththu, out Caught by S Sajana!! That's a very soft dismissal! Chamari Athapaththu just stands there in disbelief. Was a length delivery wide outside off, Chamari Athapaththu shaped up to cut but it just stopped on her, she checked her shot and it lobbed up to extra cover where Sajana took the easiest of catches. Matthews is absolutely delighted with that. Warriorz in trouble early. Chamari Athapaththu c S Sajana b Matthews 3(5)

3.3 Matthews to Athapaththu, OUT

The softest of dismissals! Shortish outside off and this seems to stick in the surface. Athapaththu, looking for the cut, is way too early into the stroke and lobs it straight to Sajana at extra cover. Athapaththu stands shocked, but she has to go. UPW, like MI, in some early bother!
