Got to share something. I had gone to my friend's house yesterday & we were discussing about good shows on itv. I told her about imlie & she said there was this show on &TV where they ended the ML char quite abruptly, as a result show got wrapped up within nxt 50 episodes. I'm sorry to say this but i see a similar fate here as well.

Regarding the DP - woh dono mujhe filhaal bahut annoy kar rahe hai so I have parked the DP changing decision. It's been a month since those pics on his sub. We didn't get anything post that.

On-screen bhi bakwas and offscreen toh akal pada hai bas.

But that show didn't have a Doppler ganger of the male lead na? Imlie is safe till IPL. Gul won't give up without a fight. I'm pretty certain they will have to bring Agastya back.

The show is not recognizable anymore. They killed all good things about the show sadly.

I don't watch any of those shows so can't comment in detail. Even if they show ML being supportive one can't ignore the fact that the male lead has hidden his marriage from his family and his wife is living in his house as a maid. Just coz the female lead is given a voice and ML supports her career, the shows don't become progressive.

Even if the female lead gives back to the male lead and he regrets it immediately, you can't deny the fact that this was domestic abuse. He literally slapped her before both families. The audacity to do that itself and show this on national TV to grab eyeballs is something.

Imlie ke low ratings are attributable to the death of Agastya and not due to regressive tracks. Imlie always had progressive thoughts being shown. The social tracks and tidbits was really good and made the show different.

The show has become highly negative right now. Imlie always had spunk and was always fighting against wrong thoughts of the family. She was never afraid to take a stand for Nyonika or Chutki or Bulbul. That Imlie is now completely missing. The dressing is drab, the banter and charm of Imlie is missing after Agastya died. The ratings are falling due to these reasons. I'm not sure if the next week will bring trps because the show is all toxic right now. This is the only show I watch apart from Shark tank. I don't want the show to be ruined for trp. I hope they stop with the regressive content. It is getting too much to take.

I agree. Till Agastya was there in the show the trps were constant at 2.1 or 2.2. The marriage break up and Agastya marrying Binni dropped the trps to 1.9 and then Agastya's death the trps stayed at 1.9. The show pretty much lost the core audience after the marriage breakup and the trps fell.

But we can't do anything. The creatives need to take a call. They can still show Surya as Agastya with memory loss and even if they do a hate marriage living with Imlie in proximity Surya can have flashes of his past. They just have to make Surya Agastya by some twist. Then the trps will raise. We have to see how the trps come this week. If the trps shoot above 2.0 then we are in for a long toxic show. I am hoping the trps don't go up beyond 2.0 so that the creatives are forced to tone down the regressive content.

What makes a vamp compelling usually is when she gives the leads a run for their money. It’s about a mutual fight where we see the vamp win because she played smarter.

The leads have to also put their best effort forward in order for us to feel something when they finally win. Imlie’s not even trying here, she’s just tolerating everything and making it super easy for Binni.

Imlie hasn’t acted on any of her warnings yet, aside from that moment where she called her Rashmi, when she was Paro, nothing else has put actual fear in Binni. Even when Imlie caught her stealing from the safe, Binni knew Dadi would take her side.

Imagine the confidence she feels knowing that Agastya-jhi, the bakra she nakli married for one day, that his family believe her over his actual wife who they knew for almost a whole year.

Even Navya started seeing Imlie as a threat because she kept thwarting her plans, but Binni has no reason to believe that Imlie or Sonali could stop her from getting what she wants. Which is why she’s openly taunting and demeaning Imlie in front of the Chaudhary’s. Other vamps would keep the pretence of innocence up and only show their real roop when they’re alone with the leads.

Binni Tinni doesn’t even have to try to make Imlie look bad in front of the family. There’s no plotting or planning, her BGM hasn’t been heard since she was introduced.

We need takkar, we need tashan. I know Gul can do it because she gave Tanveer in QH and Svetlana in IB, even Tia in IB was better vamp.

This really doesn’t feel like a Gul show anymore, she used to have better villains.

Nope.. It didn't have a doppelganger track but again I feel that could be one of the reasons why they may not bring back Agastya. Bcoz at the end of the day, it's Sai only. If the makers decide to redeem Surya's character(which they will have to, obviously), then he'll have the same expressions, same outlook, same love-filled eyes for imlie,much like Agastya. But with the current pace, it will take them good 2-3 months to establish these traits in him. I don't think they have that much time. But if in case, show's ratings pick up, we're going to lose Agastya forever kyunki socho after 2-3 months, kya normal tv audience ko agastya yaad bhi hoga?? Taking his name in every episode won't help as well.

Yes Imlie is safe till IPL end only. IPL end is on May 26th so it is about 3 months time. Unless the trps increase I think Imlie will go by June for sure and there won't be leap or anything but a close down of the show.

You know for the longest time I waited to see Imlie Agastya be together in their fight against the villains. Just the way they showed in IB. Gul ke shows ki quality has considerably dropped.

You are right, Binni openly taunts and spews venom against Imlie and the family are anyway against her toh they also taunt her. Imlie has all the time in the world to think about everything except tackling Binni. Aaj toh Imlie didn't even give her a shut up call, excitedly went to bring 2 brooms to sweep the floors.

Why is she ok to have someone stay in the house as Agastya ka widow and cause pain to the family. They need to start packing off some negative elements of the show. They need to bring the biggest supporter of Imlie back and that is her babu.

What was there not to like today?

We all knew Shivani will buckle under the pressure, and Imlie shall confess.. So wahi hua.. At least I am happy that the story is moving forward..

Regarding Daadi and Binni's taane.. Frankly at this point, Daadi is like that evil stepmother in the usual fairytales, and Binni is the daughter, and step-sister who pushes and pulls and makes the life of the main gal tough.. And obviously Imlie is going through her first part of the Cindrella phase.. Aaj toh proper wahi vibes thi. ghar ka kaam karo.. pocha karo etc.. etc..

And in terms of Surya, I am not bothered at the moment.. He can be Auggy with memory loss or actual Surya, as far as they aren't showing any love angle between him and Imlie, he could be the evil second step-sister, for all I care..

I am cool.. I am calm.. I am fine. (right now)..

But might not be able to spread more positivity today.. office work, someone else might have to take optimism ke shots..

You know, Cinderella stories only work as long as Cinderella accepts that her step family is toxic and tries every way to escape from them.. Here our Cinderella is willingly and happily letting them abuse her in the name of Vaada n sacrifice.. Yaha pe na koi fairy godmother ayegi, na rajkumar.. Sab chale gaye to Cinderella has to fight for herself.. Unfortunately don't see that happening
