Alice Capsey: It was just about continuing the momentum Shafali and Meg had started with.. carrying the form from previous games and having some fun with Shafali. You practice a lot of different shots but picking the lengths is important. It is knowing your match-ups and then focusing on watching the ball. Probably the six off Nadine and the reverse (which shot she enjoyed the most). I have played tennis and squash as a kid, which helps me use my wrist while playing spin. We would have been pretty happy with 180-odd at the start of the game.
195 wow what a score

Sandon: "How did Wareham and Molineux only bowl 4 between them? Very strange captaincy for the last 3 overs." -- It did puzzle me too, especially given how experienced the two are and how they had been bowling at the death in RCB's last two games.
Wow, what a finish, from a DC perspective. 70 runs came off the final five overs and that has catapulted them to 194. Kapp and Jonassen were the chief destroyers in the death-overs, with the latter finishing with 36 off 16, and the former managing 32 off 16.
Prior to that, Capsey and Shafali had set the tone. Shafali blazed her way to 50 off 31, with Capsey also sparkling during her 33-ball knock of 46. The pair regularly found the fence and put the RCB spinners under pressure, meaning that they had to use as many as seven bowling options.

Good start
Speaking of RCB, they, for the first time this season, looked a little bereft of bowling ideas. While much of that was down to the Capitals' dominance, they did not help themselves with their dropped catches. Shafali's dropped catch, which happened in the first over, proved particularly costly.
RCB have a power-packed batting unit at their disposal but remember, they are missing Perry tonight. And if they are to win, they will have to mount the highest successful run-chase in WPL history. An exciting run-chase awaits, and do join us in about 10 minutes.
Alice Capsey: (On her approach) It was just about continuing the momentum that the openers had started and building on the last game. Was trying to put as much pressure on the bowler as I could and wanted to have fun with Shafali. I practice a lot of the shots and I have been working on putting pressure on the bowler. Kind of nice that it is paying off. Knowing what your match-ups are, that is where the pre-match planning comes in. (Her favourite shot) My six off Nadine over deep mid wicket or the reverse that went to the boundary. (What makes her successful against spin) Pre-cricket, I was into tennis and squash, so using my wrists on those sweeps and reverse-sweeps. Spin has been something I have really enjoyed facing. I bowl spin as well and that helps me switch mindset. (On the score) Pretty happy. We thought it was going to turn a bit more but it only did when it was slow. I am sure our bowlers will be watching and putting together their plans.
