Karuwaki wasn't even in life of Ashok when Mahendra was already a pre teen boy 😂 Ashok remained devoted to Shakyani (Devi) till he became the king. After that fate separated them and he married Karuwaki who we don't know from where she came from. Then he married Padmavati and Asandhimitra and made Asandhimitra his Agramahishi. Devi remained at Ujjain and Kaurwaki was sent to Kaushambi and her residence was there. She lived with Tivala, her son.

I have one question if Bindusara abandoned them after Ashock's birth...how the hell they came into this world? does it mean although the king rejected them in front of the world still visited dharma.

As far as kids are concerned it does not matter in historical era . Look at Dharma; she was ousted from the palace and heartbroken , yet she has a daughter from Bindu

She did not have riches, love but not riches, same goes with Helena in tv serials, she would get riches, kids and even respect of being chief queen but no love even though onlookers would tag her favourite wife.
