That is my issue. Makers made it cleverly about this slap when he has 40000000 other things that are deserving of accidental unintentional slaps from Ajith.

For me, Angad lost all respect when during Simran track, when Simran was in coma and police had just informed him that Manbeer got her kidnapped, Angad said " mein phir dohrahe par khada hun, dikh kya hai, galat kya hai pata nahin"

If a man is still at crossroads when his mom handed an 8 year old orphan to 2 men in the dead of night and gave them money. I will say it again, if ITV had guts they would have shown Simran got raped because that is what happens. Instead they came up with the lame liver issue .

He did not go against his mother even then.

He only allowed Simran to be accepted when Simran was going to die and Sahiba nearly died trying to save her.

Angad does the right thing only when he has exhausted all possibilities of NOT doing the right thing. The one time he did the right thing was during Rumi track when he did not believe it is Sahiba who was killed

PS:
The only time Sahiba complained about the impact the family abuse has on her was when Manbeer laid the blame at Sahiba's feet for her actions. Sahiba told Angad that no one thinks about how hurt she is when she is abused. Angad did not say anything. Heck, he did not even pick up her phone when she called him to tell Simran is out of her coma and is asking for him
