I too am a fan of UCC. One law for all regardless of religion.

I searched for more details but could not find.

Honestly I am disappointed with this. They needed to and should do far better than what they have passed as UCC.

for e g. Forced registration of live in. Parental permission. Or jail / fine. Possible maintenance after live in is terminated. Sadly I can’t even find anywhere despite looking to see an in depth or details on this so far. It was tabled and passed quickly. So perhaps in few days.

I hope they take their time to pass UCC as it’s powerful and a step in the right direction but they do have to get it 90% right at a min. I may have more agreements or differences between now I get a chance to understand more details of what got passed.

What a historic moment this was. I saw this and another of his speeches recently where he categorically mentions UCC, Article 370 revocation (I think in 1996).... and says they do not have the majority they need to act!!

If you see the video, you will see how INC behaved (and behaves till date) in the parliament. Shaayad isliye they really couldnt get to progress (too busy making noise)..

BJP comes across as a party with a focus on its manifesto and when it came to power it acted on what the mandate from electorate was - Prosperity growth and what it promised

I cant wait for the movie article 370 ....abhee bhee log soch mein hain right or wrong when India has already acted in its best interest and the interest of its Kashmiri citizens :)
