Put him through a long domestic season. Ipl does not count.

And Gill is not getting dropped neither is Rohit despite how inconsistent they have been.

Gill and Iyer have been picked after IPL performance only. Bharat has not performed in a single match. These folks need to go and play domestic cricket more than Pant

Yeah, Pant a) went through a traumatic, life-altering accident unlike Gill and Iyer, b) his T20 form was already bad before his accident, and c) IPL form doesn't translate to international ODI/Test form. Gill and Iyer are actually proving that. It also doesn't gauge how consistent one can be in a long-ass international calendar. Can his body manage to keep in two test innings in, say, five days for a five-test series? Can he grind out in Oz? How does one gauge all that from 9-10 IPL matches in a subpar DC team?
