Armaan is a old school kind of guy. He would have never come up with the deal marriage stuff on his own. He values family, culture, tradition, etc a lot. I didn't watch previous generations of this show. So, I don't know about Surekha's character. But yesterday her behaviour was not good. Abhira couldn't attend her exam for her. And Surekha didn't care. She also said Abhira's exams were "chote-mote exams" without even knowing the importance of that exam.
