There's also one more aspect to it which irritates me. Ayra is not your mahaan character. She is selfish and impulsive but there always is a repercussions of her actions. She doesn't have a single happy content day in her life and dramas around her aren't as small as small fights, everything is extreme. Her actions aren't as wrong as the punishment meted out to her.

Like her working late and Zaid going to MJ's room to punish her, working late was her compulsion, she told Zaid that it'll take 3 hours for her to complete her work, people may find that wrong and Zaid punished her and said "Tumhari nind haram kar di". He knew what he was doing, he knew how it was hurting her

On the other hand, Zaid faces absolutely nothing. If it is not one wife then it is another to do his bidding. He is in a powerful position offered to men in society, he gets to choose the victor among both women. But Zaid hasn't actually committed any crime so it doesn't irk me much

MJ has done many many horrible things to her brother, brother's wife, to Ayra, to Zaid to the maid who was raped, to Fakkhar but she has everything so easy. She never gets punishment for her crimes and in fact, she is rewarded for her wrong actions. Her blackmailing and hurting Ayra brought Zaid closer to her, she was rewarded for it

I feel the writer is heavily invested in bringing out molestation as the social issue. MJ has a history of supporting a rapist too, interestingly. If they use that as the main issue, what Mubashira did to Ayra is not a bigger issue.

Something has to lead to separation anyway. I'd gladly welcome it if MJ trapping Ayra becomes an additional issue and Zaid blasts her. I'd really love to see that, not because she deserves punishment...but it'd be nice for them to have that transparency in their relationship.

I really hope Ayra tells Zaid the entire sequence from the email fiasco.

I would really love it if the story progresses to Mubashira realising how her supporting a suspected sexual abuser can shut her up from exposing the same in her family. I'll stand up and clap for Zanjabeel if she tackles this properly and this being her favourite theme to explore, I do have expectations.

RJ needs to be caught red handed , humiliated in public that’s only way I see how this track might end ! And this can be done by MJ only. she will probably one who will bring down her brother and that will be her arc.

Zaid am not sure what will be his role in RJ expose but his growth is when he finally breaks free from Asif ! Like burn all bridges and close any paths which will lead back to his dad . He needs to get away from his dads shadow.

Aira , hope she gets her justice and closure but she needs to realise she and Zaid are not just for each other and decides to part on good terms.

I feel it's very realistically written like you described. Our blood can boil all it want, but the fact is it is her word against his. Zaid will support her, unless he thinks she has gone complete bonkers with the Asif-wife track and Rayaan can say quite convincingly he was there to help her but she in her deranged mind took it as something else...and Ayra did behave like a mad woman. That track was there to convince someone she's hallucinating...and that someone is not Asif, so it could be Zaid. And only Asif and MJ have a clue about the truth. Asif will use it against Ayra and Mubashira might stand up for the social cause.

The fake wife stint works so much against Ayra. If she can a bring a woman to defame Asif, she can do anything to defame Rayan too.
