To be honest we can get that but 90% of the audience will hate him and will not remotely sympathize with character like this

One more thing I have observed -.

Armaan has taken stands for everyone in the family but never for himself and his mother. If you people notice, his relationship with the other people in the family is very formal - it's always him on giving side but others on receiving side

With Abhira- he kept saying in case of Roohi - that 'humne Kiya', hamari galti thi, hum dono ne use sunaya - feels like he considers Abhira as his unit who is inseparable. He started to consider her his someone - when it comes to him, he is the one sacrificing himself for others - he is expecting the same from Abhira to bow down in front of Roohi like he does most of the time with his family members.
