Varun is not an a-lister, his last hit movie was Badrinath Ki Dulhania, in 2017!! Since then he has a not given any clean major hits. Thats why he is begging Alia to do Dulhania 3, so she can save his sinking career.

I don't think anyone is ditching anyone. If no financiers want to back Ranveer's project, what can SLB really do? According to reports, he's been running from pillar to pillar trying to secure funds for the past few months. 3 Disasters & an under-performing RRKPK which is also stained with the Corporate booking tag, will certainly do that.
Ranveer is going to have to build the markets Confidence again. Might have to start with smaller projects. Those 250 Cr+ Budgets are not going to happen at the moment.
But yes, neither Ranveer nor SLB owe anything to each other. Ranveer's career is more than SLB alone.
