Ayra's side from episodes -

In Ayra and Zaid's relationship, Zaid had to do more not because he loves her more than she loves him because it was his father who is responsible for whatever shit she went through, her brother died, she faced atrocities so did her bhabhi, Zaid doing something for them is the least anyone would expect from a human that's where he is different from MJ, who aided Asif in his crimes against Ayra and her family instead of helping her. Zaid's sacrifices were out of guilt for what happened to Ayra, Ayra lost everything she held dear, what can she sacrifice for Zaid? Sacrifices are made by people who have something.

It wasn't Ayra for forced polygamy on Zaid, it was Zaid who forced marriage on her. The woman was going through loss of her brother, her brother's rituals weren't over when Zaid was knocking her door with proposals, she kept denying, she was moving away from him to start a new life in another city, Zaid wouldn't have it. It was his sacrifice to not let someone grieve over their loss?

Everyone needs time to heal, Ayra wasn't given that time, the marriage was a pressure because "Zaid was doing so much for her", these men who do so much can start doing so little and leave her alone for 6 months or one year, if you feel the same way about each other in these 6 months then think about what to do next

It didn't take a lot for Zaid to jump in MJ's bed, the question is why involve Ayra in all this?

Ayra asked him to get approval from his father, him divorcing or not divorcing MJ is his own doing, polygamy was the condition from MJ and Asif not Ayra.

MJ agreed for MJ so he wouldn't divorce her, that's where polygamy starts, Zaid decided to use MJ to get acceptance of Asif that's where polygamy started, Ayra didn't say no to it but she wasn't the one to start it

Thankfully Yumna Wahaj can handle it. Recently heard Yumna also takes certain fans to court if some boundaries are crossed. So she’s chill because she has a legal way to deal with things if they go out of hand. Also, it’s a small sect of crazies. Which is to be expected from the level of popularity TB garnered. All you can do is ignore them.

Maya however does get impacted by the hate - she’s been through depression also which she’s talked about a lot. People need to back off from her. My cousin recently met her at an event in the US and she was like she meets everyone like they’re her bestie. So sweet and loveable. Definitely doesn’t deserve the harsh judgement people throw her way. What people label as clinginess is probably just her being a super warm person around people

Forget Maya

Wahaj's wife Sana is hated for commenting on his posts. She commented under Tere Bin's announcement on Instagram and these shippers were attacking her for trying to show that she is there. They think she is commenting because she is insecure of their Yumhaj

I read views on polygamy in this thread and I would like to retract my earlier statement which was made out of ignorance and popular narrative based on stereotypes. I wasn't aware of conditions and statistics of the practice in the country. It was a gross generalization on my part. Sorry.

Sana posted under Nayab trailer congratulating Yumna and people were hating on her for being fake and how Yumna doesn't need her congrats, and hoe dare she shows her face in Yumna's cs. Yumna posted an IG story with their pic and wishing Sana happy birthday -- clearly they know each other. But some of these Yumna fans and Yumhaj shippers are delusional.

I saw a couple of these tweets. They felt she was just inserting herself to let her presence be known 🙄

I don’t remember what you said but it couldn’t have been that bad or I would’ve remembered it. I think this is why Pak dramas need to be careful about showing polygamy. Most non-muslims wouldn’t know all the rulings and history around it as well as the fact that it isn’t common practice.

The general idea I got is that people belonging to the religion itself think of it as a very regressive practice that a man decides to keep 2 wives. It was historically needed at some point in time probably...to protect women. We should also understand there was a time where this was not an unusual thing...not common, but not unusual either.

Polygamy has been used just as a plot device in this show. They just wanted Ayra, MJ and Zaid under the same roof somehow . A great example of poor or lazy writing.

There was a time and situations where it was warranted. Even then the ruling is very clear that the wives have to be treated equally which is very difficult and you shouldn’t marry more than one if you can’t. I won’t mention everything I did in a previous post of the history around this. In this day and age, it really isn’t needed and most women would not stick around if their husband wanted another wife. Divorce is much more accepted which makes MJ’s case more unique.
