I have no idea. The reason for this rule is to make sure the woman is not pregnant at all. My guess would be that perhaps her ex had given her a verbal and religious talaq long ago and it was just finalized in terms of paper work. But it also depends on how rigid the Imam who did Shoiab and Sana’s Nikah was in following the rules or making exceptions.

An application is written by wife stating grounds on why she wants a divorce. The husband accepts it n signs n wife also signs n one qazi accepts n it's full n final divorce done. Its practised in India too n has legal validity Muslim personal law is still valid .

Pakistan have Shariah courts where judge accepts the khula if husband is not accepting khula. Saw in "ae muste khaak " show..

How do you know these details? I watch a lot of dramas but it’s still very confusing with each of them coming up with their own rules.
