True that is. The actual scene didn't have the charm of these pictures. The filters were horrible!

I take back what I said about the drama starting where the ost ends. Someone had mentioned in their post the significance of the scenes in the recent discussion. I revisited the track because it occured to me there was story in it...

Dil pe Guzari Kya Kya Hum Kya Kahein
Paye Hain Ghum Khushiyoon Ki Chah Mein
Mein Bs Mein Hun, Aur Tum Ho Sirf Tum
Dil Sa Dil Ka Qisay Ab Sa Khatam

This is the phase before the show. The fb that everyone wants. Mubashira walks with a basket full of flowers, wheeling her cycle - shows she had many admirers. Zaid gets a bouquet for her...they are acquainted with each other, but she's in her world mostly. He's admiring her from behind. She's aware of his admiration, but this was the Mubashira who didn't believe in love. She even married Mohib without love. He had asked her why she had married him and her answer was something like she knew he'd keep her happy or something...she never mentions love.

Mera Sakoon Mein Hun
Zid bhie Junoon Mein Hun
Har Arzoo Mein Hun
Nahi Muj Ko Zaroorat Teri
Hum Guzray, Gham Guzray Jis Rah Se
Us Rah Se Teri Wafa Kam Guzray
Jis Rah Se Us Rah Se

This is the phase of first episode. He visits her, he protects her, but he's clear to keep a distance. His mein protects him.

Mera Sakoon Mein Hun
Zid Be Junoon Mein Hun
Har Arzoo Mein Hun
Nahi Muj Ko Zarort Teri
Mein Hoon Mera, Ghair Mery Kis Kam Ka
Kis Kam Ka,
Tum Bhi Sanam Kheir Milly Bs Nam Ke, Bs Nam Ke

This is the phase they were fighting. It was Zaid resisting her, accusing her...he knew she entered this marriage without love because he has understood her as a heartless person. He means to keep a namesake marriage, with no expectations of love, since Ayra refused him...he had a good thing going with Ayra and he preferred that to heartless, namesake wife, Mubashira.

Ishq Meine Chand Ki Tarha Khada Kiya Hai
Humesha Teri Hi KHushi Sa Rabta Rakha Ha
Humeshaa
Phir Meri Ankho Mein Barsaat Kyun Dekhoo
Mera Nahi Hai Mein Wo Khwab Kyun Dekhoo
Tanha Mein Teri Rah Kyun Dekho Kahday Zara

This is all the romantic phase we have seen. He has always loved her. Humeshaa...but he won't take it to the extent of hurting himself because he doesn't trust her.

If we see from the time he got married to.Ayra- everything falls into place. He never intended to hurt her. He never trusted her either, but he didn't want her to.hurt. That much was clear. He was apologetic she had to. leave his room- even there it was don't -care Mubashira...she said she didn't mind, it was his room anyway. She didn't make a fuss about it though she was irritated with Ayra. She didn't enjoy him looking apologetic before her- this is a beautiful aspect of MJ...she has never allowed him to apologise to her. He came asking about the reception and asked her 'all good?'...kuchh tute phute hai jodne ki.koshish mein hoon...tum bolo tum khush ho? He had looked concerned with the tute phute bit, but she seemed to move on quickly, so he left it... likewise he checked if she was upset about hosting...she was very brave about it...so he left it and even told her dad confidently that she has clearly moved on. Again the declaration on the night of the reception puzzles him, so he approaches her... acknowledges he never expected her to take it so well ..this is not the tantrum throwing MJ he expected...he still didn't know about feelings- she herself had only thought of the companionship she wanted as his wife- which was the early signs of love...he doesn't even bother she tries to show off the comments to Ayra...she's a mystery.

Her promise to never leave him- he keeps rewinding that moment...he doesn't need to compare her with anyone...this is a piece of his heart he's opening up again...the night he spent in her room was never to.spite Ayra ..he was just naturally drawn to her for comfort...it goes on to acknowledging her as his wife in public...and now he even loves to grant her smallest wishes...still, he can't open up completely or trust her...

Kuch Bhi Nahi Paya Yeh Tu Kaha Laya
Umrain Hoi Zaya,
YEH Mosam Asy To Na The

This is what he has feared...and this is going to happen now. This Mausam is going to end.

Through this romance phase in the ost the couple is enjoying coffee, MJ is getting drawn to him, they're having good fun, dancing together...and then there's separation.

Hum Guzray, Gham Guzray Jis Rah Se
Us Rah Se Teri Wafa Kam Guzray
Jis Rah Se Us Rah Se

We see Zaid seated and looking away from MJ. She's standing near the window, looking towards him.

Wo Jo Mera Na Tha , Kayu Jud Gaya Nata
Jo Na Nibhana Tha, Hum Phir Sa Badqismat Rahy
Mein Hun Mera, Ghair Mere Kis Kam Ke
Kis Kam Ke
Tum Bhi Sanam Kheir Milly Bs Nam Ke Bs Nam Ke

Muj Ko Dard, Na Zakham, Na Dard Ne Mara
Jis Ko Zindagi Kaha Tha Usi Shaks Ne Mara
Wo Jo Mushkilo, Na Halatoon Sa Hara
Hai ishk Nam Jis Ke, Usi Ik Lafaz Ne Mara

We see the couple separating twice. First in the bouquet scene when MJ retreats back..

Second time in the dance sequence, both take a step back...

Beautifully designed ost.

Idk how Badar does it but Ayeza’s hair and makeup were pretty bad in that balcony scene. Kind of distracting tbh. But then the photo Ayeza posted was so good ? 🤯

Badar surely knows how to present his actors well šŸ˜‚

I saw Azeekah post some of hers as Ayra too and the difference is very very obvious. Especially makeup tones. He just makes it all orange somehow. Talent šŸ‘

did she? I honestly had to unfollow her a few months back because the amount of posts was cluttering my insta lol. I know a lot of people love her promotions but she does a lot of it and DAILY. Multiple posts. It’s too much for some of us 😱

I don’t mind the drama promotions but the daily model shoots and bridal wears etc etc etc is a lot. I know she works nonstop and has to promote and endorse - but maybe 2 accounts keeping the content separate is the way to go šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

I will take ANY logical arc and closure at this point lol. As long as it makes sense. My expectations are extremely low šŸ˜‚ The show just has to convince me and I’ll be convinced lol

but you know what I think 😈 The Grim Reaper is not far away šŸ’€šŸ˜‚ for You Know Who

One of my MAIN concerns right now however is Mein going back to once a week since Burns Road Ke Romeo Juliet is set to be coming on screens very soon. It’s either going to replace Mein or take the Tuesday slot. Which means we will back to the snails pace story telling

I totally agree with you - that if Zaid’s feelings were shown resurfacing without any subtlety, it can destroy the character – would give the impression of him cheating on both. Having said that, without the clarity of his feelings, I guess some of his actions may also come across as close to cheating and may still malign his character. Take the bedroom scene for example – without knowing actually where he is coming from, that scene can be interpreted differently. By the time he was walking into the house, he was fully aware that his feelings which he had locked in a box and stored in the deep recesses of his heart has started to seep through unsanctioned – he has started liking her company and attention, as I have mentioned earlier, he was not happy with this knowledge. He started to obscure his feelings and that made him become more guarded around her, hence the refusal to the coffee-chat. His initial refusal of her offer was very significant – I was literally crossing my fingers and hoping he’d say no (the background score was melancholic too!). He was consciously trying to avoid and compartmentalize his feelings for her – not wanting to be disloyal to the woman, as you say, whom he wooed and won. But he returns – he was hurt, constantly being pressurized amidst the tug of war his life has become, and seek the companionship that is available, which he knows that his heart desires. That is how I saw it, with the belief of his past feelings, the whole sequence made sense. But without that, it could be interpreted very callously – Ayra was working late for his rival, she asked him not to come and pick her, he was hurt, so he went to MJ’s room to inflict the hurt in Ayra. This narrative makes him petty, his intentions disrespectful to both women and definitely, paint him as a cheater, no?

For me, here he was not jumping from one woman to the other – he was trying so hard to suppress his feelings. But without knowing what is going on his head, if someone thinks otherwise, we cannot really blame them. I believe the majority of the viewership of these dramas do not scrutinize what is shown, they take everything for the face value. That is why some concrete hints or monologues are needed. I don’t mind the guessing part, but they should have started giving proper hints earlier.

Zaid was in love with Mubashira and he has buried his feelings deep within his heart, hoping never to revisit them. His struggle to stop those being unearthed for the loyalty he has for Ayra is real – I, as a viewer, fully believe this. You don’t have to convince me about this smiley4smiley20, in fact, I won’t be convinced otherwise. I normally watch things with magnifying glasses – take those Zaid – Mubashira scenes that almost came as fillers or lollipops in last week’s episode – would you be surprised if I say I actually saw those as important bits? take the scene where they were dining, he was unnerved and rattled with Ayra’s unavailability. He was feeling guilty for leaving her behind, and her being upset with him for that, was not quite sitting well with him. He threw the napkin irritated clearly indicating he was done eating. Mubashira’s comment unsettled him further – why? As I said earlier, his solution to all this was to compartmentalize Mubashira, not letting her trespass certain nooks of his heart, keep everything at a bay – her invading his and Ayra’s relationship dynamics can complicate things and the thought brings him to the edge, hence that request. She was graceful with his request, but still asked him to continue with his food saying he might be hungry. And it was adorable when he complied like a petulant child! And tell me if I am wrong, I don’t recall him calling her by her first name during their marraige before this instance. At the anniversary party, he addressed her as MJ and as ā€˜Mubashira’ couple of times, when he was trying to calm her down. After her divorce, none. After their marriage, somewhere during their arguments, he called her ā€˜Mubashira Jaffer’ (I don’t remember exactly when). I don’t remember him calling her by her name in any of their face-to-face interactions before this – after their marriage. Now, I don’t know him not taking her name was intentional or not, but it actually struck a note and amused me, because he always addressed her anonymously – again correct me, if it is not the case! When she was divorced, he seemed guarded and distanced. Similarly, not taking her name, I feel was his way of distancing her mentally. Taking someone’s name, though we do not pay much attention to it, can have a very significant effect – it can reflect the dynamics of one’s relationship, it can imply familiarity and foster a subtle intimacy and psychologically impose a connection. So, for me, he was intentionally creating a mental distance. He taking her name during that scene did come as a bit of a surprise – it was a sign that he was opening up to her without his own consent!

We are watching the same show, for sure, that much I can say delightfully. šŸ‘šŸ˜„

There's no doubt anymore that the feeling of 'Mubashira ' and the feeling of 'Ayra' is separate for Zaid. Hamesha, he has always loved only one person, that's clear. But he will not open that closed chapter or it was an entire book ...he dare not open it because of the heartache it gave him the first time.

Preceding the bedroom scene ...I was expecting a very innocent talk... especially after you see him guarding himself slightly...at first I didn't realise it was fighting with his feelings...I thought it was the thought of explaining Ayra's absence...but watching it again I could see he was mesmerized for a while, staring at her and when she asked about Ayra he woke up and replied...he tried to act cool about it... It was that attraction that he couldn't resist that brought him to her door.

Yes, every so called lollipop has shown a glimpse of him..not just his feelings - his hidden fear, his reluctance, his joy, his compartmentalisation, his honesty...ā¤ļø

How many episodes since we got them properly? I really hope atleast from Tuesday we are back to the love story.

They never used filters in shows like ishqiya and dunk, I dont know why they are doing it heresmiley24

Also they have taken popular actors who take huge paycheck, have rented huge bungalows and expensive cars for the shoot which means good amount of money has been invested but the direction and editing department pulls everything downsmiley21
