It’s supposed to be a murder mystery thriller. Sriram Raghavan’s next after a much successful Andhadhundh.
The first half feels like watching a YouTube video of paint drying in slow motion on a 2G connection. The first half is devoted for you to figure out who’s struggling more with Hindi, Vijay Sethupati or Katrina Kaif. Then suddenly it starts unfolding before interval.
Inexplicable things happen, simple things are complicated, the murder planning is like calling the fire brigade to turn off your kitchen stove. Yes. Then Weird things keep happening with snazzy background music. And then the credits roll. People around me kept sitting, thinking there is more. And they will explain the plot. Nothing. The maker is friends most critics. So most mainstream reviews are misleading. Thoroughly boring and illogical. Avoid.

PS: Don’t let poser critics shame you for not liking the movie. My review is harsh, coz the movie spends a lot of time in playing to the gallery. Like that homage to that iconic “Rajnigandha” song with the leads in a taxi. Palpable sexual tension. All that is fine, but it’s enraging coz you don’t get the basic screenplay & plot right. As a viewer, you are promised too much, and delivered too less in the end.
I loved it although the climax wasn't so shocking but I loved their chemistry and also the slow pacing for me was fine it was nice to see their interactions and just scenes. We are all to used to face paced thrilling action this was a nice change..The 80's atmosphere felt nice and peaceful without phones and just the old world charm took you to another placce
