Armaan is the son of Madhav and his first wife. Dadisa never approved of Madhav's first wife. Still she accepted Armaan but could never love him the way she loves Rohit as he still reminded her of his mother. In that way Armaan feels indebted to Poddars for accepting him and is the main reason why he can never go against his family.
