Because the story is getting them TRP. Full time romance and saath rehne ko couple nahi hote and for the last time leads are decided on the basis of contracts, not screenspace or screenplay. And TRP toh achchi hai.

Yes, I agree the story is going in circles with absolutely no development. That is true but still that doesn't negate the thing that VJ and Himanshi were SIGNED as leads.
Just because story bakwas hai, that doesn't mean leads have changed. Those two are totally different things and that depends on various factors also.
The biggest MYTH of audience is that a show runs on a story. No it does not

Tht way they can strech the consummation/confession. here we will not get leap bcoz hall drama gives them TRP so for hall drama to continue they need FL blaming/bashing.
