Where’s the plot heading?? Mub’s scene with her house keepers was a lil OTT.

This is the most honest analysis of the episode...I hope the writers are paying attention not to sacrifice too much of the story for the sake of drama.

9 pages of writing has flown since this post...must be the fastest moving thread in the forum, I'm guessing. 😄

Maybe I’m on my own here but I feel no character development at all on MJ’s part. She is scheming to hold this marriage together. She was fine with the party because the attention was back on her. She places far too much importance on what people think of her. That still isn’t valuing herself but rather valuing the opinion of others more. She treated her staff terribly. I just couldn’t root for her at all today.

Don’t kill me guys but I kind of found the tie scene between Zaid and Ayra cute, particularly Zaid. He looks cute when he’s happy. I am in no way team Zaid and Ayra but I felt their scene today.

I was also surprised that Zaid couldn’t see through MJ. He seemed to be questioning her with his eyes the last episode. Does he believe that she actually loves him? Maybe he thinks that MJ’s speech would be embarrassing for her so perhaps he thinks she put her feelings above what others thinks. However it was obviously just her way of regaining the spotlight. Maybe Zaid was apprehensive before but now he’s convinced. I still feel like he is drawn towards Mubashira. I did enjoy their scene together.

Did it seem like Asif was also upset after hearing about the shares being transferred to MJ? Rayyan transferred his shares to MJ too? Since when did he make these types of sacrifices? I couldn’t tell how Kashmala felt about all of this. Asif should put some in Kashmala’s name too since she probably isn’t getting anything through Rayyan.

Ayra has figured out MJ’s plan and she will fight back but I think she’ll lose Zaid in the fight. She doesn’t realize that she already has the most valuable thing - Zaid’s support. He could have easily thrown it in her face that they would have been on their own, divorced to Mubashira and not under his father’s mercy if she didn’t place those conditions on Zaid. How did she expect him to buy a separate house for her under the current conditions? His under his dad’s roof, working for his company and most likely burned bridges between himself and the rival company. If it was really Zaid that she wanted, she could have avoided this whole mess. I think Ayra is really struggling with 2 sides of her.

👍

Same issues most of us are having with the writing...Zaid looked visibly upset when MJ announced celebrating the second wedding of her husband's....naturally we all thought he was seeing her real side, but he ventures out to actually have a heart to heart with her ..it was unexpected, but now retrospectively looks sweet on his part. Looks like his guilt was triggered there ...he didn't mind her gloating over the comments and courteously wished her a good night too.

Ever since she extracted the promise of no divorce - he's getting triggered by guilt more often than feeling pushed by her.

Agreed💯.

My rant- So we all know that Mein’s plot centers on characters consumed by their selfish desires and this aspect has been established way before. So now instead of showing meaningful developments, the narrative seems trapped in a monotonous loop, focusing on mundane aspects without driving the story forward. Am personally running out of patience here with this story, I really think there’s a pressing need for a pivotal event or a significant shift in the plot that can put an end to this mundane repetition. Am even more annoyed with the next week’s promo 😊.

It looks like they want to show the writing was fair to Ayra- she was given enough chances, some of which she embraced like bhaabhi's advice and even apologised to Zaid nicely...they don't want it black and white...

So we see this not-so-merry-go round.

Mub won't change white overnight either...some consistency in character is only attributed to Zaid- to be frank, he's the only person viewers could connect to in the beginning in terms of having a dignified and peaceful nature...even he's not allowed to stay consistent.

They were in their cute little bubble of bliss and normalcy at the office, but MJ was of course having none of that. As much as it’s fun to see MJ’s games and Ayeza’s performance, I can’t root for her at all. So it’s equally fun to see her plans backfire and for Zaid and Ayra to work through their problems and come out stronger.

if you check out ARY’s official synopsis of Mein on their website, it says that it revolves around if “in the end, will love triumph over social status?”
That official synopsis just screams Zaid Ayra endgame to me. With MJ walking out gracefully at the end and learning her self worth outside of marriage. Maybe she will come quite close to getting what she wants but ultimately she will realise you can’t win love through playing games. Something has to happen to break her “Mein” in the real sense. Maybe it’ll be Ayras pregnancy. Maybe it’ll be succeeding in dividing Zaid and Ayra and STILL not being able to win Zaid’s love, in spite of Ayra’s absence. Some sincere humbling is coming up soon, I believe. Because right now she’s still feeding her Mein. No growth, just schemes of a different kind.

Will love triumph over social status?

And here we are wondering where is the love when someone forces a second marriage on her partner and his first wife and constantly complains about how it has been unfair to her and her only. According to Ayra, only she has suffered- MJ and Zaid are taking a walk through the park. 😂 Somehow Zaid managed to put in a line there- yes, Ayra I know 'we both have suffered'🤭...no idea if she even heard 'we'.

Rayyan has been a cooperative brother to MJ. What was the point of showing them fight like cats and dogs earlier? I understand siblings can fight but you’re not okay if someone else treats your sibling badly but this is kind of extreme. Maybe there is more to this.

Kash doesn't even want to talk to Zaid anymore because she can't stand Ayra.

Rayyan became a little responsible after marriage - towards his wife and his sister- responsible enough not to have extramarital affairs, but independent enough to not discuss with his wife about transferring shares.

Even asking her to not go hungry while she's pregnant and worried- he doesn't profess love- he says dad will get angry with him if she neglects herself. There's some character growth, but he's definitely not there. Zaid's second marriage definitely must make him feel very protective about his sister...if not out of love, out of family honour.

Zaid and ayra both have cute moments though no high romance or chemistry. This types of scenes look good to me. After terebin all fans expect sizzling romance between couples but simple things also matters.

One thing which making me sad that how people are normalizing Mean and bullying behavior by MJ towards Ayra. People are only concerned with how she looks cool, stylish boss lady but ignoring her intentions which are demeaning. I hope our dramas don't romanticize or fantasize these things. How does it feel if you are at ayra's place smiley19 I am writing which I have seen till now maybe story changes so my point it view too

If you are not agree with my point of view then simply ignore. smiley31

Zaid and Ayra have started looking good only in the last 2 episodes actually. Till then the story didn't invest heavily on this... They just seemed to be together.

Your point on people only bothered about how cool she looks- actually this is exactly how the social media users in the show responded- they were her fans. This means that much of it is actually realistic- you felt it from the show's fans- Ayra must feel it from MJ' fans.

Fact is, majority of the public is judgemental - no point expecting them to see from any other pov- people have too many things they can't control in their own lives, so they pin their hopes and frustrations on others who live prominent lives in public.

Zaid , just think what zaffar said — you are clearly telling her dad that she is okay with these 2 things, but her dad said tolerance of such level is a great thing .

What is MJ facade here.

Zaid instead of intimidating her from day one with his rudeness, not showing on walima with MJ did you had a healthy conversation with her. After she did what you wanted you are showing nice .

were these 2 fools considerate on MJ .

Actually MJ shouting at staff reminds of the driver episode. She was pure mean there. That's what we don't want to be reminded of.

Also we should remember her khuddaari before marriage. He had offered her same position prior to marriage, but she wanted to show she's independent. That's always going to be the major bone of contention in their relationship. No idea why this khuddaar lady did not feel khudaari being a second wife. She could have easily told Asif she will leave Zaid and take 5 Cr for bhaabhi. Instead she wanted to have the cake and eat it too...it's a very irritating trait in Ayra's character.

So of course Ayra feels threatened. If MJ was being genuine about letting zaid be happy, there would be no reason for this insecurity and things would be fine, but since she feels MJ is doing this to win zaid from her, she’s on high alert and trying to protect her relationship. She told zaid as much that MJ by doing so little is doing a lot but he just can’t see that right now. So naturally, it’s frustrating for her.

secondly, MJ and asif are ACTIVELY trying to make Ayra feel bad about her position and status by flaunting money and power in her face. Again, no matter how much Zaid loves her, this shit hurts. She has no allies in the house other than her husband (who still can’t figure out MJ’s plan) and she’s surrounded by wolves hell bent on breaking her marriage - the ones who got zaid and her married in the first place ! Yes she should be grateful for zaid and she is, but it’s humanly impossible to not get bothered by the tactics Asif and MJ are using.

Point is she asked if MJ didn't feel bad sharing her husband? Did she ask herself that?

If MJ is sharing the husband, where's Ayra sharing the husband?
