Interesting question, Anti-Mandli (10 pages ago...)...

This answer is only one of the reasons SRK is the subject of opposing reactions...the praising ones (even when hyper) not hurting...the criticising ones very often (far too often) done with the purpose to hurt, to demean and venting feelings that have nothing to do with SRK.

This, too, is also only an aspect how celebrities can fulfil a certain need. Creating so-called fan-wars is a matter of distraction from far more vital needs.

SRK tends to highlight things that doesn't work well in real life...Dunki isn't an exception to that. Poverty, lack of getting respect, dignity a luxury good, people loving each other getting separated against their will, domestic violence, exploiting hopes and aspiring for a better life (mostly economically as money reigns the world)...etc. all these (and many more) are subjects of Dunki.

A movie can treat these subjects in different forms...it is up to the viewer her-/himself to get a connection to what is diplayed before her/his eyes. And the way to word the (genuine?) impression also is up to the respective viewer...and here, some just lash out...over & over again...and willingly destroy a favourable communication ambiance

Who's saying they don't believe in numbers? So far Dunki got the highest opening day for any social drama movie post Pandemic This calls for celebration and people are celebrating

While some are making fools of themselves by repeating a bina sir payer ke phata record everyday

Haven't read it yet but I wouldn't be astonished regarding the history of this production house and its involvement in shady financial things. (readable in the Net - and n o t through social media).

Intermission. I have no idea what people are complaining about because I’m enjoying the film so far. Let’s see if the second half changes things. SRK and Vicky have been great thus far. I’ve been dying to see SRK in these kind of roles after Chak De. 😭
