I red only first line in this tweet and misred it as "Dhunki collects 73 crores on 3rd day of it's opening" and was jumping with joy in my head for 3 secs and then I red the remaining lines in the tweet..then went Ehh at my 0.5 second attention span
While most stars are script-controlled in the Hirani camp, this time Shah Rukh Khan has a vice-like control and is in fact the undoing of the film. He hams his way every minute of the 160-minute-long tale. Looking haggard and trying to look young, this is reminiscent of the Joy Mukherjee-Biswajit era. Tapsee is credible but only.
The bright spot in the movie is the cameo from Vicky Kaushal. He stands alone and sane. There is a song in the film that sums up the spirit of the audience: ‘Hum to loot phoot gaye.’

I am a NRI and I couldn’t connect with the movie. The theme of the movie is such that I don’t think most NRIs will connect with it either, just my 2 cents. That’s why i said in my review that I couldn’t understand who the target audience is for this movie.Movies like swades is what NRIs connect a lot with.
Thought so too cos still this movie have never heard about illegal immigration route taken by Indians. Indians mostly for study or job they go there. Even that route is difficult for many for so many reasons. So those who go legally there with hardwork will definitely have issues with illegal immigration. Why will li ppl feel connection with ii ppl journey?
Swades was beautiful movie and can understand the connection felt.
Ok this is absolutely bizarre to blame the govt now for low collection. And this is not the first time this is happening.
Sometimes it is okk to accept that movie cannot be appealing to everyone. But to blame govt for unnecessary tactics just cos some fans don't like them is utterly bizarre and this thinking is not at all helping the movie.
In my friend circle few have not liked the movie at all. One even posted their status as Don't be a Donkey, Don't watch Danki. And later in the group upon asking why wrote that they said, story lacks conviction and horrible acting. Save your money.
So there are people who genuinely didn't like the movie. Not everyone will like every movie. Need to accept that.
About corporate booking ..don't really understand whats the hullabaloo about it. Know many companies who buy tickets to give free to their employees so that's genuine.
But to blame the govt of all things for low collection is stretching too far.
Some movies which are bad become ATBB and some good movies don't do well. Everything is not conspiracy.

No they are just paying for ads . They're spending crores on promotion n marketing
Looks like negative word of mouth is kicking in
Khans are legends. There's no need for them to prove their stardom any further. One movie won't change that. Those poking fun at Dunki should realize that their own hero movies also faced challenges at the box office. SRK has recently delivered two major blockbusters, but it appears that some people find it hard to accept this.
