Zoya hacked it big time. Much like KJo for RRPK, Zoya made a laundry list of social issues she wanted incorporated and shoe horned them into the movie even if it felt weird and awkward af. She had one job. All it had to be was interesting, the major chunk of characterizations was already there with the comics.


This is one thing I actually liked in the movie. Its like every kid had their own individual issues to battle - and then had one overall goal of saving green park for which they came together. Its just that those individual issues were very poorly developed and just touched upon


But again, if the target audience is kids, teens and tweens, then it probably makes some sense for a kids movie.

I think if it wasn’t based on these comics and it was similar to Student series it could’ve been more well received.

True..Anupam Kher, Subhash Ghai, Kishore Namit kapoor, NSD all these r pretty good. They understand Indian sensibilities
