A 0.1 increase isn't disappointing. We'll have to wait for next week's ratings to see if the wedding hype pays off. The show has re-entered the Top 10, which gives a glimmer of hope.

Yes glimmer hope is better than " no hope:"

1.7 is a decently good trp for a new show/ generation leap with all new actors.

Also the actual story hasn't even started. Once Roohi and goenka come to know Abhira is akshara 's daughter, that's when the main story starts.

I think in another 2-3 weeks, trp will cross 2.

But this TRP isn't for Akshara's death track. It's attributed to the court scene and the confrontation between Armaan and Ruhi. The TRP for Akshara's death track will likely reflect in next week's report card.
