Dint Deepika commit both adultery and almost a murder in Gehraiyaan. They should have pushed it and gone fully psycho for her character instead of giving her anxiety, etc.

On topic, I can recall Urmila in Kaun going full psycho, serial killer That was an awesome movie !! Also Pyar Tune Kya kiya. Both were hits or successes.

Nolan has a huge huge following in India. Cillian Murphy is also quite known due to Peaky Blinders (also Dark Knight series, Inception).

Also Barbie is not as popular here as in western countries. Barbie wouldn't have done even half the business it did in India, if not for the Barbenheimer social media hype - it would have probably gone unnoticed similar to other such western branded movies which were hits in the US - Mario, Lego, etc.

The Answer it both Yes and No.

If done right, then the audience might accept the film and even applaud it.

But Bollywood has a history of either under-doing or overdoing it, when it comes to writing female characters.

And the industry has put women in certain brackets, since years.

They have taught men that anything "feminine" is weak and worth hating.

It's a problem created by Film Industry, and they haven't found a solution to their self-induced problem.

I want to know if the feminist brigade will bash the movie just like Animal.....and I don't see that happening......

Like when they show women smoking .....drinking and loosing control over their bodies....and sleeping with multiple people.....it is lauded and the women are called progressive....same thing men doing is bashed calling them playboy and what not.....just thinking ...
