no, there isn't "universal acceptance"...there is hightened curiosity and also acceptance.
Actually, I like movies that provoke discussion...I simply regret that it is a sloppily made movie from someone who could have made it a movie with more depth...
And yes, I regret that he is rewarded for his faults which also includes to not having explored Ranbir's genuine talent but using him in a one-dimensional and superficially labelled character (this father-son problem was treated like a sandbox-play...just a pretexte).
