but things are almost back to normal now

okay i have started to catch up on stuff and here are the shows i'm following (or trying to follow): imlie season 3, jhalak dikhlaja and indian idol.

imlie season 3: as i had said earlier, the FL is really really cute, most of the time i just stare at her the ML is also good looking, especially his hair cut! the storyline is also interesting, even the villains are not outright hateworthy, even their backstories are focused on giving us a chance to understand their pov and sometimes sympathize. no one is black and white, even the ML makes several mistakes and FL isn't gul khan's typical happy go lucky girl. she has a sad past but does try her best to deal with her problems on her own without requiring the ML to be her saviour. The ML is misunderstanding the FL big time because she hasn't told him the full truth about her backstory. he married her with a 6 month contract marriage in exchange of money. he also knows she sings at a bar so he considers her characterless and thinks she'll do anything for money, hence she married him for the contract money. but she's actually using the money for her nephew's treatment and she sang at the bar for the same reason, however she hasn't told anything to the ML because she desn't want his sympathy (i think?).

here the backstory of imlie afaik: the ML agastya is the najayez son of a very rich guy however his dadi accepted him and gave him all the business because agastya is a boy. in season 2, imlie 2 had two daugters: kairi and imlie 3. someone imlie 2 and her hubby died and the two daughters became very poor. ten Kairi and agastya's older brother fell in love but the guy's family didn't accept them because kairi is poor and the family hates poor people. the couple eloped and had a son but then they died someone. then imlie 3 (FL of imlie season 3) started raising her nephew, this nephew has some serious illness which costs a lot of money treat. so imlie started singing at a bar and also accepted agastya's offer for the contact marriage. she sometimes sneak out to meet her nephew at the hospital but nobody else knows about this. agastya or family has no idea that their dead son has a kid and that kid was raised by imlie

imlie was initially liked by agastya's family, except for his step mom and step sister. but imlie is slowly winning their hearts too. but the step sister's husband is evil and he revealed to everyone to imlie was a bar singer and agastya's dadi now hates imlie. in today's epi, dadi got to know that imlie also is in a contract marriage for money so she hates imlie even more. i read on IF that tomorrow the family will know some of the truth about her background and feel sorry for insulting imlie so much.

phew that was a loooooong "summary"

in short, the ML's family is overall positive. ML's brother in law is almost completely evil, SIL is slowly coming to imlie's side and changing for good (some of her actions are also justified because the dadi gave all the property to agastya only because he was a boy, and also the sister's husband is abusive but family doesn't know that), dadi is 50:50-somedays she annoys me with her veryyyyy outdated thought processes, somedays she is decent. rest of the family is positive and supports imlie always

my personal life is going well and so is work, was just tied up. still learning how to balance personal and professional life post marriage

I'm still recovering but getting better. it's just that some side issues have crept up due to constant bed rest like muscle pain in arms, headache etc. my friends were joking it was like buy 1 get 1 free kind of beemariya

Hmm. So imlie 3 is poor as a rule of FL of itv show. What happened her heritage/ inheritance from her mother and grandmother?

I am glad to know gul is not following her typical trope of an extra cheerful heroine here despite the hardships. Her shows typically also have a good family bond so I am glad that is retained here too.

Does imlie 3 know her sister’s husband was agastya’s brother? She should tell him that

but overall looks like a good story and mix of right amount of drama.

p.s I agree the heroine is really cute. I get your point about fussing over her haha
