So basically, in 2011, she was one of the suspects in the murder case of another journalist - Jyotirmoy Dey. She was blamed for the conspiracy with Chhota Rajan. According to the police, she gave the information of the Jyotirmoy's whereabouts to Chhota Rajan. Chhota Rajan's men killed Jyotirmoy following her information.

She was sentenced to prison for seven years for the same and then acquitted of all the charges against her in 2017.

She wrote a Book while being in prison and also a web series got released lately on her life and on the murder case in which she was involved.
