Tho I liked affan komal's chemistry but yes hadi's character is too calm, they should have shown him in pain. Have seen affan in such roles don't know why that pain and depth missing in this character.

to me, it felt like they weren't madly in love. so they liked each other and they have been kind of seeing each other but it wasn't some full blown love story. from the start, he held himself back a bit. he was very aware of her family's opposition. plus, he had his mom and his sister consistently caution him about getting involved and were warning him that it will not happen. his aunt has been very regular in her insults and always treating them like people who are not worth living. so I think he wasn't surprised but just pragmatic and accepted that this was a dead end.

to be honest, am surprised that he liked her anyway given such insults. I am always puzzled by such PK dramas where the guy and girl like each other even when they are being treated with such utter disrespect by a family elder. why?????

What you said makes sense. I do think that they more than liked each other and were serious about each other except Hadi is the more pragmatic one and komal is the emotional one. Even if it was not a passionate love story, still some sort of grief on Hadi"s part would have made the story better I feel.

Also as a viewer, I understand we find it ridiculous when a guy and girl like each other despite such opposition from the family but from characters viewpoint it is not so far fetched as most of the time young people in love tend to be naive and have the delusion that somehow love will conquer all.

the drama's pace is quite fast at the moment. so maybe we will see him grieve later on during the drama -- a kind of delayed reaction. for some people, they don't react immediately. maybe that is the kind of arc they are going for.

Yeah..some ppl do have delayed reaction so may be it will be that. I'm not a fan of too much pining either so it's all good. I guess there will be some sort of leap and Hadi will become rich. I am waiting to see the transition.

People in love rarely make sense and don't think of consequences.

komal should be mad. I hope her mother and sister get put through the wringer. the son-in-law and the dad were trying to tell the mom to be patient and to investigate further. instead, she just wanted to win and it was all about her. she was not willing to even have any doubt and was only intent on pushing her daughter because she is annoyed with hadi and his family.
