The entire square has been covered and remember, this venue has one of the best drainage system in the country. So, if and when the rain stops, we should be able to resume without too much of a delay...

New Zealand have set a mammoth target of 402 runs for Pakistan! They completely annihilated Pakistan's bowling attack today and went all guns blazing right from the beginning. The 180-run stand between Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson laid the foundation for this imposing total. Mitchell, Chapman, Phillips, and Santner all contributed and maintained the intensity throughout. Apart from Wasim Jnr. and Iftikhar, everyone conceded more than 8 runs per over, and they struggled to counter the onslaught.

In the last 20 overs, New Zealand scored at a rate of over 9 runs per over, while Pakistan appeared out of sorts, unable to find wickets and create pressure. Runs came at ease throughout the innings especially when Ravindra and Williamson went into overdrive; the duo gorged and feasted on runs and didn't stop until it drip down their chins. Bowlers like Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi failed to live up to their credo, often gifting looseners, and the wicket column remained empty.

New Zealand now doesn't need to strive too much for a win; they need to bowl with discipline to cap off another victory. Pakistan will have to bat out of their skins to stay alive in this contest and the World Cup! Do join us in a bit for the run-chase.
