Shadow-Shell: "I'm kinda torn on this one. On one hand I would love to see Afghanistan reaching Semis. But on the other hand I don't want Netherlands to miss out on Champions Trophy"

Naim: "What do you think Shashwat, the winner of the toss should choose " -- If it were up to me, I would bat first, considering the ball has done a fair bit under lights in Lucknow, even when there has been dew. It also plays into both of these teams' strengths (on paper), although Afghanistan have shown this World Cup that they can chase clinically too. Given how few teams have won the toss and the match this World Cup, both captains might not mind losing the toss either.

Thanks for the tag. Either of the 2 teams have a chance to win. 🧡💙

Both have the enthusiasm to perform well and win.

Abdul Wahab: "Afghanistan shouldn't go after run rate, they should play normal cricket and win the game. Otherwise they might lose precious two points." -- Pretty sure they will not be thinking about NRR at this point...

Pitch No.5 being used for this game. Same as the one used for the AUS-SL game. Red soil wicket" informs Gokul Gopal from the Ekana Stadium.

Pitch Report | Pommie Mbangwa and Shaun Pollock: "It is rather warm, there'll be some comfort from the wind. Square boundaries - 66 m and 67 m, straight boundary - 76 m. Red and black soil and a little bit of green grass rolled in. They throw the grass cuttings on and then throw a little bit of water. It looks like a good surface, but the advantage could be to bat first. Later on, it might break up because it's not necessarily held together. However, dew can help you bat."
